Let me just say how much better Tom is than Noelle. As an interviewer yes, but Noelle is a lot easier on the eyes. (Sorry RSCTom ...) Sounds like Tom didn't send you tickets to the gun show

Q&A is tough for all of us regulars here I think. I don't want to speak for anyone here, for anyone not here, only for myself. Already to repeat obvious questions can be an exhausting thought so I try to avoid it. I asked questions I thought were topical (other than missing the HBK pants question which I could have asked...sorry) and try my best to make them a little conversational with Mattel so we can have some depth to the answer. There's also a bit of showmanship that has to go into it (yes I said there hasn't been a referee in however long even though there has, but an audience beyond what we have here on the boards is going to see, experience and hear that differently) so I'm trying to cater to everyone as best as I can. If you guys think I am going to sit and angrily complain to Bill's face about his attention to detail or whatever or other criticisms you might have that can sometimes reach angry levels for some people you're not thinking clearly. Even if I agree with it I have no interest in doing it that way. Bill is a detail oriented guy who works hard and whatever issues you might have with him or any mistakes he makes or choices he decides on or whatever, it's likely he knows. It's my place to ask questions but it's not my place to publicly put him on the spot uncomfortably, especially if he isn't interested in it. Some people like that approach, I'd be one of those people. Bill is not one of those people. They will adjust things when they will adjust them, they won't when they won't. They have and will always have a direct line to criticisms and feedback here and as I've said multiple times before, over many years, the phrasing and approach is a lot of times why those things aren't addressed or answered. It's pretty simple to be polite, even when frustrated, and that is lost on a lot of people and lately it seems to be getting worse, maybe because it's so hot out everywhere. It's also pretty simple to be patient when waiting for responses, so I haven't gone into a deep dive over how people were approaching asking the Macho Man question so I can't speak to the inconsistency of "nobody asked us", but my guess is people getting extremely pissed and asking Steve for an immediate answer two hours after the pre-orders were pulled when he's not prepared to give one yet he is probably ignoring. Or perhaps he's busy and can't do it right away, I don't know his process but I know he is a great guy who has always been very honest and open with me and I feel honest and open in his responses, way more than most people in that type of position. That said I do think a lot of criticisms especially of a toy company this size are warranted and there's no reason at all to stop providing them. I'm in no way discouraging it. But people who work a full time job and don't want to deal with angry approaches probably just aren't going to do it. I'm going through the same thing as a fan of the Jurassic line over those damn gates and that 'premium' line, the Discord server I'm in is just constantly angry and complaining about detail on figures in ways that I wouldn't talk to people, personally and that line has absolutely no reach or 'ear' of the toy company like we have here. Also keep in mind these Q&A's are obviously edited, so it's possible in the moment a response feels too candid, not right, etc. Just something to consider. My suggestion would be that if the Q&A frustrates you or makes you angry at the lack of an answer you can use the 20 minutes a season on something else. Steve still hasn't been chased off with pitchforks and torches yet and he's still here so your best bet is to just patiently and politely approach that thread with your honest thoughts and see what comes from it...it's probably not going to be far off from what you're getting from this video if not more fruitful for you. Thanks Tom, I just gotta ask you, on a scale of 1 to 10 do you think we will see Python Power Hogan in the near future?

Steve keep those legs on the referee figures. I like them better than the newer sculpt. Wait it's a BAF so it doesn't matter.

Nice work Tom, and I like the setup at the desk. It was a nice change from the usual standing in front of a display case setup, and I assume more comfortable for everyone.
Some people need to chill. I agree with everything Tom said, but also it should go without stating. I think people are way too comfortable with "gotcha" faux-journalism. We're lucky to have the access we do (RSC Q&As, Steve posting here and on socials). At the end of the day, this is a business partnership between WWE/Mattel/RSC. There's a time and a place for criticism, and over the years Tom has consistently added in follow-up questions and pressed for more info where reasonable. But if you were expecting a full court press, the problem lies with your expectations, not the Q&A. I'd hope most people would recognize parallels in their own professional lives, but...maybe not.

Glad some of you enjoyed the q&a. I do really enjoy doing them with Tom.
Clarifying my Macho Man “nobody asked” statement; nobody asked at SDCC itself until the Ringside Q&A. I was given the green light to address it at SDCC which is why I was happy Tom asked so we could finally give an answer to a very broad audience. I believe most of you are aware at this point there are some things I can freely speak about and other things that would require another level of approval since my participation here isn’t in an official capacity. Macho’s figure status was one of those things I had to get some alignment on.
At the end of the day, if the biggest complaints were Tom not raking us over the coals, questioning past referee figs, questioning me being on social media and the forums, and my lead into the Macho answer, I’d say it was a successful q&a.
