Not to mention, they got the colors flipped. The Pink streak is supposed to be on her left and the white streak on her right but they wrongly flipped it. The blonde/pink can alternate sides but she's worn it like the figure depicts. If the cornbread yellow hair and the cranberry legs weren't a thing, I would've been fine with this figure. |

What's worse than the legs is the fact she dosen't come with a tag title and Io does. They have done this multiple times over the past releasing both tag Champs but only given one of them a belt

It's not even that they want you to buy someone you don't want, they're making you buy two of the SAME person to get titles for both of the ones you do want. I have bought every single figure that came with a women's tag belt at this point, there is no matter of "one I don't want", I just hate that I had to buy multiples of the same person to give both halves of the tag teams a belt. I will fully agree that the battle packs only containing one belt is silly. If you're going to make the selling point of Championship Showdown the belts, make them the elite belts and give us two where it makes sense. Releasing a single basic tag belt there is silly, especially now that we know the shiny tag belts aren't off the table. That said, the practice of making title belt accessories the selling point of a figure or figure line is troubling. The entire point of Elite 100 was the belts, but most of the figures were trash. The only one I actually liked was Andre, but, sure enough, I bought Cena and Becky for the belts and I'm hoping to get a Rock so, great job Mattel, you win this round. And Championship Showdown was a dumb idea to begin with but now they're making the point of that entire line the belts. On top of that, the way that they will withhold belts and pick and choose who gets them overall and such... it's all very worrisome. I still say if they want to make the belts a selling point, they could make belt packs, like those ones they made before, put them on Mattel Creations made to order and charge a premium for them and garner way more sales and far less frustration than them forcing you to go to ebay every time you want to find that title belt accessory that was only released one time six years ago. Just my thoughts anyway. |
