The paint job on Dakota Kai's thighs is horrendous. And overall, I really believe it could be a 10/10 figure. Anybody got ideas for good swap parts to save this fig?   |

It's not great but it didn't look that bad in Alex West's video review.
I'm sticking with the Royal Rumble one. I don't like the face on this one.

Looks like the Banks/Bliss legs...you could always get a Bliss figure to use fishnets or Banks and her skin tone would be a "lighther" hose color

Mattel needs to come up with some other way to do heads. Their face printing is straight trash. The eyes are always terrible and it rarely looks like the person in many, many cases. And don't get me started on the spread sheet they're using for expressions. Instead of the designer making an original mold, they choose from ten or so options, print the face on it, then open/close the mouth to make it "original". I mean, what is she doing in that photo? Burping? All of the "screaming" heads ... OMG, Mattel (and Jazwares too). You can't just open the design within the program, move the cursor to the jaw, open it up wide, then press create. You need to actually DESIGN the screaming head.

I like Dakota but I don't collect her figs at all. But it should be said, how the hell did that monstrosity make it to shelves? The scan is terrible, and I had no idea the legs were painted like that. It looks like someone made a custom and took a picture before they were done completing the paint job. JEEZE.

In person they look more orange than red. I would have preferred a mesh paint job rather than the entire legs be a solid color, but with the attire it's based on her hose had a fine mesh to begin with so it probably wasn't feasible to do anything else. |

It just looks like she has burnt orange legs. I get what they were going for, with the pantyhose… just didn’t come out right.
Still a decent figure of Dakota Kai. Better than the Rumble one, for an updated look.

Is Dakota related to Bret Hart? Cause they keep doing her dirty with these head scans. 3 different ones on 3 different figures and not on looks like the woman.
The legs I think they're going with that new paint technique like they did with Rhea and Becky but it doesn't look good here. Hopefully I can get this figure on the cheap because I want her updated tattoos but this figure isn't worth the $23 price tag.

Nothing about this is even close to being a 10/10 figure. Even if you were to fix that hilariously bad paint job on the legs, the hair still looks awful. She has never had yellow in her hair. It is supposed to be bleached, almost closer to white than anything. Instead they gave her a yellow blob on her head. Not to mention, they got the colors flipped. The Pink streak is supposed to be on her left and the white streak on her right but they wrongly flipped it. The tattoo on her left wrist is too big but that is nitpicking.
Also, this sounds like a strange complaint, but the only accessory they gave her is a microphone which makes no sense for something that barely talks. I haven't even mentioned the face scan which is a bit strange. The figure is kind of a mess in general. The outfit looks really good and that's about it. It would be a 5 or 6 at the most even with the legs being fixed.
