Anything is possible, but I don't see Sting signing a Legends deal while he is signed with AEW (he might not even be allowed to). He might not even sign one after he leaves AEW (if he doesn't work as a manager or backstage). It was rumored that Jake gave up his likeness when he got out of his contract early in the 90s. Not sure if something similar happened with Billy or if he had a long Legends contract (sort of like when Hogan came back to WWE but Mattel couldn't make figures of him right away since he had a deal with Storm). They are the exception not the rule though. I want more Sting figures from Mattel, but I think there is a strong possibility that Sting never does business with WWE again. I mean.... If YOU were Sting.... would YOU wanna deal with WWE again? They pretty much botched his entire WWE run and damn near tarnished his legacy with the typical WWE mis-handling. I selfishly want more Mattel Sting figures, but I wouldn't blame Sting one bit if he never does business with WWE ever again. Tony Khan, for all that it's worth - - - has treated Sting like the Legend that he deserves. And I'm sure he's paying him plenty of money too. No reason to walk away from that for a company that crapped on you. Oh and....... the "Returning Legend" better be Ric Flair! Sting has never given a crapabout his booking, it's a business and he'll go where he can make the most money. |

New Legend Headbangers, Barbarian, Haku, Koko B Ware Returning Legend Rick Martel, Crush, Demolition, LOD Holy Crap Legend Giant Gonzales, Bastion Booger, Chief Jay Strongbow(maybe they'll figure a way to get him out), Great Muta Oh Muta is a great call. A UE Muta is just free money. |

I’m not getting my hopes too high. I’d say something realistic would be:
New Legend: Headbangers (we know they have nostalgia contracts)
Returning Legend: Ricky Steamboat, Hillbilly Jim, or Don Muraco (to also flesh out the CC and Retro lines)
“Holy Crap” Legend: Something completely out of left field like Dink, or an existing contract in an unexpected gimmick like Brutus Beefcake as the Mariner/Man with No Face. Could also be an unexpected mid-level talent like the Sandman or Blue Meanie.
