Back to the Codyverse I still love you, but nothing is like my home city Every time I go out to another state or country I miss the accessibility and culture/recklessness of my beloved New York City. PJ We're more like the heart of the red, white and blue brother coldblooded I'll agree with you on that. I feel like NYC lost it's culture in the last 10 years. '90s- early 2000's NYC was a spectacle. It's really not what it used to be and feels super diluted. For me, I remember a lot of the eccentric characters, different cultures, mom and pop stores, NYC summers (with people hanging outside, kids throwing water balloons, fire hydrants being opened on every single block). It was a great time to be around. Now, every single store is either a pharmacy or smoke shop. It's just bad. I'm trying to get out of here, but I'm not sure where. I love California, but it's expensive just like NYC. Also, for craps and giggles 😁😁😁

As a former born and raised Yankee, it ain't like it used to be. I have not been back to NY in roughly 10 years, and have no desire to go. My sentiments exactly

I love California, but it's expensive just like NYC. Also, for craps and giggles I just never cared for it. Maybe because of my father’s influence, but I always hated it. He used to drive a bus for NJ Transit where his route always took him into the city to Port Authority and at least once a week he would come home with bloody knuckles, torn clothes or other stories about how he got into fights because someone tried to rob him or there were people harassing one of the female or elderly passengers. So even when my friends and I would go into the city as teenagers I just never cared for it. I have a few good memories of the city from the late 70’s. One was I stayed overnight with my aunt in the city. Her anpa had a great view of the city and she took me to see Superman the Movie and to FAO Schwartz. Then another time in the winter my mother and sister went to see her and we went to Macy’s where they had a whole area displayed with various Star Wars figures. The last good memory I have of the city is we did a street fair one summer day in little Italy. Other than that I’ve been there quite a few times for school trips, Broadway shows, concerts, sporting events, Parades and site seeing. With the exception of site seeing once I was in my seat i had a good time. But walking the streets from the parking garages to get to those venues all I could focus on was the smell of urine, the filth and crowds. And I couldn’t wait to leave. It’s just not for me. My wife, daughter and in-laws all love it.

We all know California is the best, we get all the figures first!! ☝️ I don't think so Tim. Only good thing about California, is everything on TV is on 3 hours earlier. You get it first due to geographical reasons.

J-MANN I have family in the big A, so I have nothing but love for everyone there! mikedanger PJ That's how I feel about Jersey. I go there and everyone is just weird man Although, I won't lie. I walked across the bridge the other day and it was awesome. coldblooded I'm on that verge myself. I just don't know where to go though. I don't really like suburban areas too much. I need some kind of chaos and have things somewhat accessible. I've considered leaving the states, but I need to save a bit of money beforehand. I have a friend in Poland and another in Japan. I'm always up for some input.

Moved to Brooklyn in 2011 and still love it as much as day one. Just moved to Rockaway Beach though (Queens) and it's a vibe, man. As for people not liking it, what you mean is you don't like Manhattan. And I don't blame you. The city is full of tourists, bridge and tunnel peeps, and is too narrow. Once you get out into the boroughs, it's peaceful and the weather is great. I feel for anyone who has moved to the south recently. Austin and other parts of Texas, Florida, and NC all got a huge rush of new people lately and I bet lots of them will regret it due to the rising temps on the planet.

coldblooded It's still cool though, you got to experience something new. I've been scared to leave NYC for the last ten years. I have a list of places I'd like to visit here. Hawaii is on the top of my list. I think as a country we're moving backwards, but who knows? kinnikuman I love Brooklyn, well Williamsburg and all the artsy scenes around there. I'm into art and film. Everyone there is so nice too. I was so surprised when I was out and there were people of my age group hanging out and vibing. I also like Queens too. I was out there two weeks ago. I'm from Manhattan, but it's just not what it used to be. I'm just tired of New York, the weather here sucks and I hate being indoors most of the time. I'd like to go somewhere warmer, around nature and possibly be able to do water activities. I think for a portion of my life, I thought that the hustle and bustle was life. I think there's other aspects like interacting with people, being around nature, getting fresh air and being in tune with ourselves.

Laid back as laid back can be. Constant sea breeze. The Atlantic ocean. Great food. Great people. Surfers, skaters, artists. Bikinis galore. Everyone is tattooed. Hardly any traffic. Only crowded on the weekends and it'll be DEAD in winter which will rock. It's such a change from BK and the city I can barely comprehend I'm still in NYC. I live across the street from the beach too. Walk out my door, boom ... beach. Subway is nearby just in case too. It's mostly white (heavy Irish population) which is a massive culutral shock. Having been in East Flatbush and Bed Stuy for 12 years and now this ... it's surreal.

I went to the Big 4 at Yankee Stadium 12 years ago and it was one of the greatest concert experiences of my life. Also, never EVER had better Italian food in my life. Chicago, Philly, my buddy's grandma from Naples...none of it as good as what I had in Brooklyn. Worth the drive if you have friends native to the area that will put you up for a couple days (I luckily have those) but yeah, not somewhere I would want to live. To quote my friend Jake who has lived in Brooklyn his whole life "Everything is a ing hassle, and you have to either acquire a certain level of Zen and learn to just 'go with it' to a certain extent, or you're ing miserable and angry" and he was so right.

One of them's older brother was legit good friends with Biggie though, and he has some hilarious stories about growing up with him. Said he was genuinely a good and hilarious guy.

Mattel doesnt do New York Comic Con, especially when Ringside Fest is usually around the same time. Jazwares UFC however is going to be there and they will put Mattel WWE to shame. If UFC figures are making a comeback im going to be hyped !
