I have no idea but if Vince were in charge of Mattel, they’d probably be there since Vince thinks New York is the center of the universe.

I doubt it. I’m pretty sure the only “show” they do in NY is NYC Toy Fair and RIngFest. I don’t ever recall them doing the NYCC.

I go to NYCC every year and there was only one time I ever saw a Mattel display. They had some WWE figures but that was it. I haven’t seen them since.

They should. Attendance surpasses SDCC. But they just did SDCC so there isn't really anything to show.

New York is the greatest state in the USA baby As far as the city goes I’ll just say what I say to my wife and daughter daily. And that is…”it’s the armpit of the United States. And I never need to go there” I hated 2021/2022 when I had to drive our daughter to and from the Met 5 days a week for work. But she moved to Brooklyn late last year so I don’t have to do that anymore. And now if she comes home I will only go to the train station in Tarrytown to get her or the Haverstraw ferry. The preferred mode of transportation as it’s 5-10 minutes drive from the house. |

As a former born and raised Yankee, it ain't like it used to be. I have not been back to NY in roughly 10 years, and have no desire to go.

Back to the Codyverse I still love you, but nothing is like my home city  Every time I go out to another state or country I miss the accessibility and culture/recklessness of my beloved New York City. PJ We're more like the heart of the red, white and blue brother coldblooded I'll agree with you on that. I feel like NYC lost it's culture in the last 10 years. '90s- early 2000's NYC was a spectacle. It's really not what it used to be and feels super diluted. For me, I remember a lot of the eccentric characters, different cultures, mom and pop stores, NYC summers (with people hanging outside, kids throwing water balloons, fire hydrants being opened on every single block). It was a great time to be around. Now, every single store is either a pharmacy or smoke shop. It's just bad. I'm trying to get out of here, but I'm not sure where. I love California, but it's expensive just like NYC. Also, for craps and giggles

Mattel doesnt do New York Comic Con, especially when Ringside Fest is usually around the same time. Jazwares UFC however is going to be there and they will put Mattel WWE to shame.

Also, for craps and giggles I moved out of Long island in 04, and I would do the occasional 6 hour trip to NY to visit family but that obviously stopped lol, idk if it's cause I'm getting older or it's the drive or mix of a lot of things, but I was able to take my wife to the city 1 last time before I decided to never come back. And it's Yankees and Knicks all day err day! |
