Surfer Sting was rad. The crow and everything since has done nothing for me.
Glad he’s getting the final run he wants though.

My favorite of all time. I used to be obsessed with him as a kid. Second was probably Kane. Everyone loved Sting back then... he had a crazy look & same for Kane! |

Sting is a top 5 guy for me. Surfer was how I was introduced to him and I always thought he was great. I would have loved if he came to Vince in 93...but "Sting money" was invented and that was that. Him turning up on the Intrepid and slamming Yoko in his USA facepaint would have been epic and way more over than Luger.
The Crow storyline was just amazing at that time. Its hard to appreciate it properly if you werent watching weekly then. Him turning away from WCW and going solo and all those interventions were just great stuff.
Wolfpac Sting was an eye roller for me....made no sense at all to me back then and even less now but when you listen to Bischoffs podcast? I do understand WHY they did it.
Always enjoyed Sting in TNA too until around 2012 when I just couldn't watch TNA anymore...he was always doing something that interested me. He got himself in some shape for BFG 2006!! MEM Sting was interesting too.....

You should post a ‘what if…..’ on this. The bus would be called ‘Stinger Special’, Sting would actually beat Yoko for the title and Lex would still be the Narcissist and maybe even Sting’s first Wrestlemania opponent. The possibilities……. |

Top 10 of all time for me. As someone else mentioned, despite the crappy booking throughout his career, Sting overcame it all to become a legit superstar. I’ll always mark out to Sting.

One of the biggest icons in the business... what are you guys thoughts on him overall? I'll say that he's always been one of my fav guys ever tbh... Good matches, great look, great aura, great entrance... the legit total package. I loved his WCW stuff and he was really popular back then as the Crow & Surfer... it was great to see em in WWE finally despite his run being short as hell. I enjoyed him in TNA and still enjoy em today in AEW. One of my all time favourites. I got to see him at Wembley for the AEW event but I wish I had got to see him when I was a child, during the nWo/WCW era. |
