So I've been watching a lot of WWF 1996 recently and it had me noticing...the year itself is loaded with absolute bangers of matches.
HBK vs Diesel
Mankind vs KOTR 96
Savio vs Austin strap match
HBK vs Mankind
UT vs Mankind Buried Alive
Bret vs Austin 1
Sid vs HBK
Sid vs Bret
are just some of the excellent matches to spring to mind. Personally I think HBK vs Foley clinches it for me......thoughts?

Without a doubt HBK Vs Bret
However I know some are not a fan.
I realllly like the Diesel HBK good friends better enemies match
Mankind Vs HBK Mind Games Too
You'll notice a lot of HBk references in the above statement

I dont see Warrior/Goldust from IYH on that list  But my vote goes to HBK/Foley as well.The finish does not damper it at all. Great stuff |

Yeah, Mind Games for sure. Second favorite would probably be Austin/Bret at Survivor Series. Good Friends, Better Enemies main event was a classic, too.

I always loved Shawn Michaels vs Marty Jannetty, I remember being so excited for that match all week!
My favorites of the year would be
Shawn Michaels vs Mankind: In Your House Mind Games
Shawn Michaels vs British Bulldog: King of the Ring 96
Bret Hart vs Steve Austin: Survivor Series 96
Shawn Michaels vs Diesel: In Your House Good Friends Better Enemies
Ultimate Warrior vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley: WrestleMania 12 I am not joking here, my anticipation for this match and for Warrior to run down the isle were huge!
