I've passed on his other figures because I didn't really need him and was waiting for the right look, the Target Exclusive Warrior looked beautiful but now with the release of his wife does that mean it's off the table

Unless Dana Warrior terminated his Legends contract because she is pissed about getting fired, why wouldn't it be released?

Dana lost her job why would she want to cut off another source of income at the same time? Doesn’t make sense to me. I could see a demand for more money on the next extension but going scorched earth doesn’t make sense to me imo

Does this mean that all Warrior figures going forward will have a tan? Or, will we be getting the SSL91 Hogan to go with this one, so they added a tan to Warrior so they'd match - kind of like how they did the same thing with the Mega Powers Macho Man - so is this a one-off? Either way, I like the figure, they nailed the look. If we get anymore 1996 or 1998 Warrior's, that is definitely the head sculpt/hair sculpt they need to use. |

Unless his legends deal expires sometime soon then her employee contract shouldn’t have any bearing on his merch. The issue will come when it’s time to renew the deal. As an employee it’s safe to say she wasn’t exploring any other deals making the negotiation process go pretty smoothly. Now that she’s no longer under their umbrella and/or if she’s bitter over her termination it is possible she’ll seek a licensing deal elsewhere.

Mattel was making warrior figures before Dana had a job within wwe. Dana being an employee by wwe & warrior merchandising are not related. Only plays a role if licensing expires & Dana doesn’t want renew. And I’d be surprised if Dana’s release creates bitterness. It’s been almost a decade, she may be ready to move on. |
