98 was another one of the biggest and best years in wrestling history... one of my all time fav years!!
The good old days... what was the match of the year for you guys?
If you can't choose one then do your top 5,10,15 etc.
I'm going with Austin vs Taker SummerSlam 98 since I was so hyped for it and it's always been one of my fav matches ever...Great atmosphere!!
Austin vs HBK WM
Taker vs Mankind HIAC
Rock vs HHH SummerSlam Ladder match
Austin vs Kane KOTR & RAW
Foley vs Rock RAW and Survivor Series
Royal Rumble match
HBK vs Taker Casket match
Taker vs Kane WM
Austin vs Foley Over The Edge & Unforgiven
All of these were classic bangers for 1998.

My favourite match of the year was Triple H Vs The Rock at SummerSlam. These two were gold together and I loved the whole Nation Vs DX feud.
Taker Vs Mankind at King of the Ring was one of the craziest things I ever saw! Also Mankind winning the title blew my mind as a kid.
However I cannot talk about 1998 without mentioning Halloween Havoc. This was the most hyped I had ever been for a WCW PPV.... yes we know how it went down, but the run up to this PPV had me hooked as much as anything the WWF did.

Goldberg vs DDP while not the match of the year showed us how Goldberg could do a main event match & make it work. Even if it was only 10 mins. That is a fine length for Goldberg. Sadly companies especially WWE didn't watch this & take notes. Credit to Dallas for getting such a banger out of Bill.

I mean, when I look back at 1998, it was a fun year for wrestling in the WWF, but classic matches were not really what they were worried about.
