I don’t think it’s retailers not wanting basics. It’s that they are overloaded with product that isn’t moving like it once was. I think all the retailers will be ordering half of what has been ordered the last two years.

I do wonder if the abundance of big properties in the action figure space is affecting mattel wwe space?
Mario movie wasn’t too long ago and along with other Mario figures there were movie specific ones
TMNT movie again had its own figures plus lots of rereleases of old figures etc

Maybe a guess; From a business perspective...... it's possible to say that the Ali SDCC set underperformed.... Everywhere I go - Reigns is warming shelves. Batista is a classic peg warmer.... And Seth? I'm not sure which version this was going to be.... but there are a lot of Seth Rollins figures out there currently.... Maybe they just felt this lineup wouldn't do well & decided to scrap it/skip it & avoid clogging the system with 4 figures that might not sell well? where are you that Batista was ever a peg warmer |

I thought I would end on a high note with WM 1 Ali and current Tribal Chief Reigns. Now the line might be dead and I have no desire to start a new collection with WM Elites. |
