Got my order in from Ringside yesterday, and overall, I'm incredibly happy with everything I got! In my order, I got Elite 105 Scott Steiner, Braun Strowman, Iyo Sky, Johnny Gargano, as well as the new Top Picks Seth Freakin' Rollins. Again, super happy with everything here. As usual, I've included some pics below, as well as some of my thoughts on each figure. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for viewing!
Scott Steiner
I absolutely love this figure! Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner has been a huge want of mine for several years, and it feels good to finally have one in the collection. Personally, I think Mattel absolutely nailed it with this figure. The likeness in the headscan is spot-on, the new body mold looks great, the attire pops, and overall is just a fun figure to pose around. The only thing that could be better IMO is the chainmail on his head, and it does lack the "69" logos on his tights, but that's not a dealbreaker for me. I'll tell ya, this figure made my appreciation for Mattel go up by 141 and 2/3%! Holler if ya hear me!
Braun Strowman
Really solid figure. Probably the best Braun out there at the moment. The likeness in the face is great, and the details on the jeans are really nice. The back of his head also has some really nice detail, where it has faint greyish highlights that makes it actually look like a shaved head. Kinda hard to explain, but it looks really cool in person. My only gripe with this figure is that his knee joints are super stiff (on my figure at least), which did lead to some issues with standing him up. Still, it's a cool figure overall, and definitely worth adding to the collection.
Johnny Gargano
Alright, so I'll address the elephant in the room right away. I have no idea why Mattel decided to go back to the weird short kickpads and painted legs parts choice when they had it right on the last Elite of Gargano that they made. Aside from that though, I still really like this figure. The new headscan is pretty decent, the new vest is great, and the attire is very nice. Strangely, like with Braun, the knees on this figure were also really stiff. Not sure if it's just mine or if all of them are like this, but no big deal. Overall, I'd say that, if you don't mind the kickpad ordeal, it's still a solid figure worth grabbing.
Iyo Sky
Before I get into the figure, I would just like to say that I really love Iyo Sky. She's definitely one of, if not my overall favorite female wrestler in the world right now, maybe only second to Asuka. And to me, I think this is another really great figure from this set! Probably my second favorite of E105, with Steiner being my number one favorite of E105. I really like the hair-sculpt, the likeness in the face is pretty good, and I had a lot of fun posing it around. It's worth mentioning that the belt is a separate piece from the tights, but I don't think it's a removable (it's part of Iyo's attire irl, so I'd imagine it's not meant to be removable). I would've liked if the straps around her legs were actually molded (like on Asuka, for example), but it's not a big deal. Still a really great figure. I also did a comparison with Iyo's last Elite. I really like both, so it's hard for me to pick a favorite between the two. I'd recommend getting both, in all honesty! Definitely a must have if you're a fan of Iyo.
Seth Freakin' Rollins
As someone who is a big Seth Rollins mark, I very much appreciate getting as many looks for him in figure form as possible! And since this attire is from a pretty iconic match, and is also a nice tribute to Dusty Rhodes, I felt like this was a must have. Even putting my bias as a Rollins fan aside, this is a really great figure. All the polka dots are in the right placement, the soft goods shirt is a nice touch, and the yelling head was probably my favorite from the Ultimate Edition Rollins, so I'm glad they opted to use that head for this figure. I'm also glad we got this figure to match the Defining Moments Cody Rhodes. If I had more room, I definitely would display them inside of a Hell in a Cell ring. I definitely recommend getting this figure if you got the DM Cody, and/or if you're a fan of Rollins.
Here's the new Top Picks Rollins with several other Rollins figures from my collection. FAR from all of my Rollins figures, but just the most recent ones. Many of them are customs, as you might've guessed. From left to right: Day 1 custom, Elimination Chamber 2022 custom, Top Picks 2023, MITB 2022 custom (made by GCW), Survivor Series 2022 custom (made by GCW), Royal Rumble 2023 custom (got this off of Mercari, but the head was custom painted by me), Elimination Chamber 2023 custom (got this off of eBay, but again the head was custom painted by me), WrestleMania 39 (made by GCW)
And lastly, here is the obligatory group shot of all of the figures I received, plus the Survivor Series Elite Kevin Owens I fixed up last week, and a custom Owens in the red and black KO Show attire, I made a few days ago using one my spare SS Owens. Again, hope you enjoyed!
