The kneepad thing was one of my biggest pet peeves. I’m hoping we get the long awaited WCW pink tights Bret Hart next year. I just didn’t like the one they released with Goldberg. It’s crazy how the wrong color could ruin a figure imo. I would be completely happy if Mattel used the same pink as the Monday Night War Ultimate Bret on a WCW version. The muted pink he wore in ‘98 would be easier to nail than the hot magenta pink he wore in ‘99. This Bret needs to be an ultimate and would be like the following: WCW ‘98 pink tights Straight faced scan, teeth gritting scan and semi smiling scan Round sunglasses Interchangeable jacket Resized WCW US title because we’ll admit that thing is oversized Another mind boggling decision not to make the WCW Bret accurate, I mean it’s not that hard is it? I wonder who gets final say on the design ah yes salmon that’s definitely the correct colour. An Ultimate would be great and with a much needed new title. Can we get nwo Bret too |

I would still gladly accept a WCW black singlet Bret too with the white trimmed singlet and black interior inside the flames. These figures mean a lot to me because I grew up collecting the WCW Toybiz line and it was my introduction to wrestling figures. I specifically remember classmates bringing in their figures during lunch time and classes 😂 |

They got the blue 1999 Edge elite colour wrong, the red Harlem Heat colour wrong, the wrong Ken Shamrock red, the wrong WM19 Jericho tights colour.... So many more examples of this, constantly, so I'm never surprised any more. Back when the WCW 2 pack Bret was first shown and I was among the only few to complain about Bret's tights right off the bat, some guy on Instagram tried to claim it was accurate because Bret "wore a variety of pinks". I told him no he pretty much had a consistent pink throughout his career and never had pink of this colour. He cursed me out and told me to google it. So I came across this picture of Bret and Goldberg and it was definitely less pink than this, but not the orange-pink of the figure. I then showed him another version of the image where the pink was more pink but he never responded lol. But it made me wonder if Mattel sometimes just google things and then come up with one image and go with that, despite maybe being an inaccurate colour etc.... I found an image of NoD Faarooq where the green on his attire was more blue-green and wondered whether that was the reason his elite in the 2 pack with the Rock had blue. But all in all - if they get minute details down pat when it comes to design intricacies, then they clearly do their homework which tells me the colour thing is just them using up whatever plastic dye they thing "will do" and accuracy be damned.  |

Now that I'm kind of "caught up" on these I did a few more photos.... which is a lot more fun than driving around looking for them! So I also got a little creative with the spare parts from this Hennig....  Thats why i bought multiples of the Roddy Piper aka Nada figure. "Perfect" for so many Wrestlers in street clothes. Your figure looks great 👍 Thank you! Yeah I bought an extra Nada as well when the Greatest Hits came out (I already had the original), with zero idea what I'd do with it but it seemed like a good "streetclothes" figure. I also really like the Piper headscan so I figured I could transplant that onto an older Piper figure. Some of the early Piper figs had really bad scans. |

My only issue with it being an elite is that I like my Brets with jackets, so he’d need a pleather one at least. The cool thing about some of the variations for these Bret’s are that he had pink/white trims on the singlet and the flames varied. |

Yet I BARELY saw Wave 3 in my area, and I was checking quite often,
