Sandman/Hak wore a lot of copyrighted shirts in WCW, lots of music and comic book stuff. Probably nothing Mattel could do.
Always loved how back in the day, since ToyBiz had both the WCW and Marvel license, their Raven figure had a Daredevil shirt. Marvel was going through a bit of a creative Renaissance at that time, and Raven being a DC Vertigo/alternative kind of guy, always wore "indy" Marvel Knights and Vertigo shirts. Daredevil, Dr. Strange, Sandman, Inhumans, Punisher, etc. Jakks changed the Punisher skull just enough to get away with it back in the TTL days!
Speaking of Raven, always found it funny that Hak got all roided up for WCW (watch his Dark Side of the Ring episode). Raven told Hak he looked great, so Hak decided to wrestle shirtless. Raven then told him, "I meant you look great FOR YOU, not you look great. Put the shirt back on!"

The Harlem Heat ones had taller boots like Macho Man, but I'm so happy they finally made some unique boots for Booker with the straps on the front. They better use 'em for all his single run figures ASAP I wish he came with some raise the roof hands, but that figure is near holy grail territory for me. Looking at the pictures of that new Kane it looks like it has the gloss ultimate edition boots yet the Defining Moments and From the Vault figures don’t, I find that another baffling decision considering the other two figures are more expensive.

Found some figs today. Another DDP. Both legs were messed up this time and the same torso discoloration. Was able to fix the legs. Found the HH variants. Stevie Ray's right leg was defective. Was also fixed. Guys, these figures are becoming as bad as how Neca was years ago. Having to go through steps to make sure your stuff don't break out the box. SMMFH. good job man the blow jobs on all of them look fantastic! DX will NEVER be as good as the old nWo. |
