Steve, I'm sure you probably feel this as much as the rest of us, but these Walmart exclusives are a real pain to the hobby, especially without an online order (let alone preorder) process. As a fellow Angeleno, you're prob aware Walmarts are few and far between out here. I somehow made it to seven today (Burbank, Compton, Southgate, Pico Rivera, Downey, Paramount, Torrance) and didn't find a single MNW figure. This scarcity, which I imagine is somewhat by design to ensure the success of the line, makes collecting an expensive chore to keep up with and only ensures the livelihood of scalpers. Locking Scott Hall's iconic WCW debut behind such a limited run leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I do realize physical stock is somewhat out of everyone's control and abundantly stocked shelves risk the viability of the line. But there is definitely a happy medium that involves well-advertised and well-supplied online preordering that does not run out within seconds or results in cancelled orders. Showing my age again but back in the days whwn i was a mere whippersnapper, cough, walmart used to hold event days where they would release a sh ton of cases/boxes to give everyone a chance to buy product. It worked too. Walmart had tons of employees and a manager who was visible to the public. Hard to believe i know. Unfortunately, for the past decade they are almost as unorganized as kmart (at their best). No store can compare to k-mart at its worst (even goodwill was more organized lol). Btw: agree with everything you said. Getting the numbers right to make sure they dont rot on the shelves is a science. Walmart however seems to enjoy fooling the customer into thinking that their products are rare and underproduced and thus walmarts keep a lot of backstock. UNTIL ONE DAY (it's starting now) noone buys them anymore even when they are put out in quantity due to the fact that most of us have bought the figures on ebay already as even the most patient collector(like myself) will give in to ebay tempation eventually after waiting a year for a figure and when (on paper) he is physically behind 3 or 4 series. Walmart is acting like a dinosaur. They are slow to adapt and change and stuck in their ways. They have management that cant accept that people mostly buy online now. Look how late they were at establishing an amazon-like website. This is what happens when you dont hire the best and hire under a spectrum of colors the least amount of employees for the lowest salaries possible in the business. Ive said it many times; Walmart is in trouble. They cant compete with target anymore. Target has played the slow and steady race and won. They weren't greedy and freque ntly clearanced out everything to make room for better selling stuff. Every morning they have meetings, timed perfectly, (when people first enter the stores) and laugh when collectors used to race to the toy aisle (this waS when toys were stocked overnight) Bottom line, WALMART IS A LINE KILLER!!! That reminds me - Walmart is also where the Elite Flashback line rotted, ensuring ridiculous secondhand prices for Jake and Harley. Yeah we got them re-released, but it took over five years - an insane outcome. From what I've seen, the Target pre-order system has been far more successful and fair. Which leads me to believe the issues with Walmart are inherent to Walmart, and do not reflect the intentions or designs of WWE/Mattel. I guess my one piece of feedback to Mattel would be to not offer Walmart highly anticipated exclusives like WCW debuts of Lex, Nash, and Hall. These are far too important to hand over to Walmart, and it reflects poorly on everyone involved. To me, the Fake Diesel, oddball Hogan, and yet another Austin were fair game. Not sure what's going on with that Taker, though lol.

It’s literally on the first page of the WM Shipper thread. I don't mean to derail this comment but, I gotta ask. In what world is having seven walmarts that you can drive to in one day having them few and far between? I'm genuinely confused I would love to have seven walmarts that I could drive to within a day's time. Unless those seven walmarts are somehow spread across a 100 mile radius? I'm not trying to be mean I just don't understand the comment.

I doubt we will get VINCE any time soon if ever. But I would love the Stooges in suits. Patterson and Brisco and Commissioner Slaughter were a huge part of the Attitude Era. They probably wouldn't sell well based on old men in suits but I would buy them in a heartbeat. I think Comussioner Slaughter and DX with the riot face shields with windshield wipers would be a great inclusion.

Is it basically too late to find these in store? Found the WM shipper at Burbank Walmart, but not a single MNW figure despite the shelf tags on the shipper being there. According to Steve, they will have a spot on the shelves with the next reset. Not sure when that will be or what series they will start with. So then the pegs on the shelves can stay empty too. We're saved! Lol

The closest one is at least 30 minutes away (without traffic, which is rare, so more like 45-60 minutes), which means daily runs are not an option. However once you do get to a Walmart (primarily in the valley or rougher parts of LA), they’re closer together, about 15-20 minutes apart on average. What I’m trying to convey is that for many, it’s nearly impossible to track these down without resorting to eBay.

We're saved! Lol Dear Lord is this true. I barely saw any WWE product on shelves at all. No elites. Maybe 1 or 2 basics. And sometimes a bunch of the Superstar line, warming.

Having lived in cali for many years and knowing virtually every city having worked as a trucker i can tell you that what would take us 30 minutes in most areas takes sometimes hours especially if you need the freeway to get to your location. There is no such thing as rush hour traffic there. It is constant. The more south or north you go from la the better but then it starts all over again in the areas where he lives. Dont forget 50+ milluon people live all in mainly the same few hundred square miles. In short traffic is a bitch even on surface roads. 7 walmarts could easily take a full day in socal or norcal. Here in pa i can do 9 walmarts in 3 hours
