I really hope you guys get Eddie and Mankind. They've been out so long it makes me a bit nervous for you -- but I'm gonna send some good energy out there!!

Just got an email from Walmart regarding the Eddie Guerrero and Mankind Ultimates. It’s funny how we seem to think it’s Walmart , but according to this email it’s Mattel “The updated release date is now: 9/30/2024 We are sorry if this date change is an inconvenience. The product manufacturer controls the release date for this product and we willl ship it to you as quickly as we can once it is released.”

I have plenty of Walmarts in my area, I remember when Piper/Hart came out and ppl freaked out because it took a while for them to pop up. Then it took a while to push the set out, seen them on clearance a few weeks back. Which im not the type of person who gets nervous over figures and rushes out to try and find them when they are found 2,000 miles away in Cali, I’m good with patience and if I don’t see them in stores eBay’s always the easiest way to go.

Walmart has the entire allotment of figures already. They just sent to a few stores, and some stores got endcaps full of them. So there isn't any to ship. They will have to pick and pluck from whatever store still has them to ship out. If that.

Dusty looks fantastic! Love warrior too. Minor complaint, i wish the package read warrior instead of ultimate warrior seeing he went by warrior in wcw. I wouldn't expect mattel to catch that detail though Your completely correct there, they actually called Rey Mysterio Jr.

I wouldn't expect mattel to catch that detail though Your completely correct there, they actually called Rey Mysterio Jr. They did the same with both UE and with Dingo Warrior. Maybe they don’t have the rights to call him anything else since Warrior is technically his legal name and I’d imagine they never copywrited Dingo.

I think stc13 said it best a few pages back on this thread; Walmart orders the bare minimum number of these in order to meet whatever Mattel's minimum production number is for a Walmart exclusive, and it likely does NOT equate to enough for all the online orders to be fulfilled AND for stock to go to every store. It seems like if a Series was available online (like Series 3) we barely saw any in the store; Series 3 was made available online and most of the orders were fulfilled (but not all).... however the only stores that got them were on Shippers - and NOT every shipper had Series 3 - many of the Shippers had Series 2. And even the ones that had them on shippers only had one case of Monday Night Wars (regardless of whether they got Series 2 or 3). So Series 3 was available online but not nearly every Walmart got any at all, and those that did only got 1 case (and only on a shipper).

This totally makes sense, but I guess maybe I never realized that this was a difference between Target & Walmart. Target has separate allocations between store and online - you CAN choose to pick it up from the store, but that is up to the customer, and they treat online orders different than they do in store sales. Walmart, it seems, has one allocation, and it is divided up between stores and online orders. I know that in the grand scheme of Walmart, this is just a small drop in the bucket for Walmart sales, but it seems so frustrating that they are 'leaving money on the table' by not having these separated, and covering both. I would think someone high up in the chain, being either on the toy side or the ordering side, would see that these keep selling out everywhere, so maybe the next batch order 10% more to test and see what the sweet spot is. Totally making up numbers, but let's say they order 10,000 of each figure (40,000 total for a 4 person wave) for wave 1, and see that stores cannot keep them in stock, and online orders are unfulfilled or sold out instantly, then maybe for wave 2 (or 3 or whatever is in the pipeline) orders are upped to 44,000 or 48,0000 (that is adding 1,000 or 2,000 cases) to see how that helps. If that causes them to sit, then you throttle back a bit. It took Target a few years to get to the perfect spot with the Legends, and that still fluctuates from wave to wave. This is clearly something that Walmart can obviously improve upon.

I got the email too. Hopefully, we just get our Eddie. I can’t wait to fix him up and repaint the soles white. Are there any other figures that share the same complexion with white wrist bands?

This is clearly something that Walmart can obviously improve upon. Yeah but the problem (I suspect) is that Walmart isn't tracking ANY of this..... I don't think they're keeping an active inventory on any of it. You can't check online to see "how many" any store has. Heck, they don't even have price checkers in the store anymore (like Target does) that would tell you how many each store has. Walmart doesn't seem to know. They take online orders for them and then delay-delay-delay-cancel. They order "10,000" and then it's just a free-for-all until they're gone, then they order 10,000 (or less) of the next set. I highly doubt that anyone at Walmart even knows that these are selling out, they would only notice if there were tons of them laying around (not selling) in which case they would cut back even more. This is how Walmart becomes a line-killer. And it never seems to get any better. Because they aren't tracking it. As long as there isn't a log-jam, they keep going status-quo and the line is a success. I wish we knew who we could complain to in order to see a true improvement.

It’s true Walmart is now terrible, check online saying certain stores have certain figures available then don’t. I’ve done it twice now where it said available ordered it then it wasn’t available. Terrible system to have especially getting closer to Christmas.

looks fake the ceiling doesn't look like a WM ceiling prove us wrong! Okay..... it would be helpful if you told us what part of the country these photos were taken in...... Some of us need to determine whether it's worthwhile to make a trip to look for these. Otherwise you are playing some sort of weird game?
