I don't get the point of swappable hair pieces when you could have different headscans with different hair styles.

In all my years collecting action figures, ive never said "Man, i wish this hair was interchangeable." I could go the rest of my life without that feature.

Steve did say that the swappable hair wasn’t replacing swappable heads.
I like it in the sense of being able to customize the look, and like the New Gen doink, if you get multiple heads and hair pieces, you get a few different combos in there as well.
I would prefer 2 heads with hair and having the hair be swappable vs just an extra hair piece but maybe that’s the plan going forward if this technology works

If Flair was still under contract, you could make several different eras just by swapping NWA long hair, WWF shorter hair, and the WCW Monday Night Wars era bowl cut. You wouldn't need to change the scan or attire at all, as he never really looked any different other than having distinctly different hair styles.

I was really hoping the Jimmy would come with swappable heads instead of just hair so we can make up for some of the bad heads in the past and put those heads on our older figures. The swappable heads are more useful.

As long as we don't get rid of the extra heads entirely. Still say the only figure I'm really jonesing for a swappable hair piece on though is Sami Zayn. Do what they did with RVD, have his hair with a hole in the back, and you can either swap out the man bun or a 'down-look' hairpiece, or if they're getting frisky, a ponytail (from the one or two times he wore that). That's about the only person I can think of on the current roster at least who would really REALLY benefit from a swappable hair piece. |
