I know we've discussed this in the past, but what's with the trend of using slightly CGI looking artwork for the talent on the cards? I really don't like how it looks, personally. Obviously, Hasbro didn't do it, but it's all the rage now for everyone it seems, besides Rush, ironically, who iirc went for something different in the end? I think... 🤔

That was my thinking, too. He put Bulldog with Diana because he knew she wouldn't be a big seller, or even a decent seller. This is probably the only way to sell her figures and not have so many left over. I'm disappointed because I keep most of them MOC, and I only wanted the Bulldog figure, so the only way to get the Bulldog figure MOC is to purchase the 2-pack with a figure I don't want. So, I may just have to keep a figure I don't want to have a figure I do want, or I may just open it and keep the Bulldog figure and try to sell the Diana figure. However, I don't think the Diana figure is going to be a big want from anyone on the secondary market, so I might not be able to sell it. I would have much rather him package them on individual cards like his other releases but sell them together. This way you would still have to buy both figures, but the Bulldog figure would be on his own card without Diana. I'm kind of the other way around. I'm a loose collector, so I'd have no use for Diana if I opened the pack up. On the flip side, if I keep them MoC then it kind of makes more sense having them on display together as a time capsule from SummerSlam '92... But I really wanted that Bulldog loose. 🤷 Carded with Daveyboy you can tell that it's Diana, whereas loose... It just looks like you're using a generic mediaeval Fisherprice peasant as a wrestling valet or something, lol. True, but if they were one separate cards, I wouldn't display the Diana figure.

WWE could come after the photographer/company using the image as taking photos for commercial purposes is prohibited without consent. I’m no lawyer anymore but there could be a statute of limitations on that (and it would vary state to state).

Wouldn't Mattel have access to actual copyrighted photos for their WWE line, though?

It seems as though they are working with what they are given; not necessarily making requests. It’s a good question to ask in the Q&A.

I don't think that'll be likely. People don't want the Diana, I think this is the only way he wasn't going to be sitting on tons of her. Lots of people will buy the 2 pack and sell her, not the other way around. And given 2ndary market prices for his existing figures, I'd say the Bulldog on his own would go for more than the preorder price. I want Diana!

Yeah, I feel like this has been discussed before but my memory is absolute bollocks, lol. It's just not the greatest for MoC display pieces, imo, but that's just me. I liked Rush's approach, getting an artist to do the image. I'd like to see these companies experiment a little with their packaging. Chella did it a little with their Al Snow packs, etc.

I agree - the Mattels would have looked so much better with photos, and I assume it saves design time to just move a photo in, rather than create a whole graphic. But who knows...

Just imagine how people would react if he releases that Bulldog on single card later… At this stage I can see this guy doing everything he can to make as much money as fast as possible. Nothing wrong with that though.

he's not going to leave money on the table from people who are not prepared to waste their cash on buying a knock-off He-Man figure they don't want or need, and can't sell on
Diana is NOT a must-have for anyone's collection, her claim to face is she's just the sister and wife of famous stars, that's like saying "I need a Courtney Cox figure to complete my Russo era WCW collection because she's the wife of a former WCW World Champion!!"

Nothing at all like your Courtney Cox example really; Diana was a central part of the main storyline of Summerslam 92 - which for most fans in Britain, was a pretty big deal. And I believe she also appeared during the mid-90s…but I wasn’t watching then, so not really my timeframe. But this means that Diana is a ‘must have’ for me - so again, your over-generalisations of your own opinion are not accurate of everybody else.

Gonna pass on this one just because of the price. Hopefully another Bulldog figure will appear down the line...

Yes. That Diana is embarrassing.
Passing on this one, hoping others will too. Mitch really needs to wake up.

WTF is that price? I was actually going to get this, but thought it would be $50 at most.
