I think with the Macho it makes 10 figures currently up for pre-order with Grapplers and Gimmicks including variants and with tag sets counting as 2
FC, Epic and even Zombie currently have quicker turnaround times at the moment from pre order/order to figure in hand
I’m all for pre-orders/clogging timelines to stay relevant but when will we hit a limit?

I’m all for pre-orders/clogging timelines to stay relevant but when will we hit a limit? to stay relevant, delivery is key
constantly posting concept art and then expecting people to "preorder" (actually crowdfund the product) is a joke now - he needs to take a leaf out of Mattel's playbook - just do one mass reveal, and then set deadlines for delivery of each wave.
constantly posting a new prototype or render is not the way to build an established business, but then again, we all know Mitch won't put his own money into his business, he's wholly reliant on consumers taking the risk, meaning he doesn't have the incentive to deliver the same level of quality that his competitors seem to be delivering regularly

I agree on some points for sure, I wish Mitch would slow down on preorders and get more stuff in hand, ideally do it like the King Mabel and last version of MoM, have them in hand and sell them that way, then you know exactly what the finished product is like. I wonder if Chinese new year is also playing a role in a backup atm? Hopefully the flood gates open soon and we get most of those preorders that have been outstanding for a while, and I hope the quality is there, but who knows. I do like it though that he's getting much more stuff out than Zombie and more stuff I'm interested in too. Ok, Zombie doesn't have a bunch of preorders outstanding atm, but in the past his preorders had lasted 12-18 months or more. And alot of what he's showing latley doesn't do it for me, they don't looks like Hasbros much of them anymore, and he's doing alot of managers/announcers and ECW which I'm not into personally. Mitch is doing alot of suited figs lately too, but he's also doing tons of wrestlers from the era I really want. And he is modeling them to actually fit in with Hasbros and not going the miniature statue route.

See, that's what gets me abit, sure I could be the minority, but isn't he calling this his premium line or something? Also, its an action figure. If people want to do figure photography with this even having the slightest articulation in the legs will help. To me, it's a way for him to cut costs and corners. Il be very interested to hear what he is planning to charge for this. They're inspired by Hasbros, the only Hasbros with articulated legs were: Earthquake, Tycoon and I think Bam Bam Bigelow. None of the suited Hasbros had articulated legs.
I believe you, but I am SHOCKED to read only those 3 had legs that move. I just went to sell 9 today (including Earthquake and Typhoon) -- and i would have never said in a million years this was true.
But now that I think about it ... wow. They were such wonderful figures that it never felt that way. Did Andre have them, too?
I think of figures like Scott Steiner, Doink, Hacksaw 2, even Papa Shango and feel like they did -- but I guess you're right.

it's true, only the Quake/Typhoon/Bam Bam figures had articulated legs, even Akeem/Andre didn't have articulation
they did have legs attached to their pelvis, but you couldn't move/twist them (at least you couldn't on any of mine) and the closest other articulated legs were Dibiase's legs for the stomp, I don't even think you can move the second leg on IRS
and I appreciate it's not directly a "retro" styled figure, but I think the argument against G+G's 6" Kurt figure is that doesn't have articulated legs, but it's "designed to fit alongside Ghostbusters figures" which all have Elite level articulation. the Fuller figure doesn't have that level of articulation because it's being done on the cheap to get it out quickly.

There’s no reason why repaints shouldn’t in hand ready to ship, the longest and normally most expensive is the mold making which is already done for the repaints. I haven’t done the maths but I think Zombie has released more individual figures this years with G+G only having Carlito as a new figure? (Bob Cardona was funded by Matt, guess we can count it if needs be)

He said he did it as a Christmas present for his dad

Lol Same, think I have Rougoues, Quebecers, Marc Mero, Bulldog SS92/Diana, Macho Man, and I think Hart Foundation Bulldog, assuming that went up for preorder already, I've lost track on the Bulldogs at this point.

So Mitch has like $400 of your money? Legit question, does that bother you at all while waiting for so many...

I think right now I have The Canadians, Mero, and Hart Foundation Bulldog on preorder but there are a lot more I am interested in picking up as the year progresses.
The pre order model is a bit frustrating at times but most companies do deliver at the end of the day…but it would be nice obviously to see the quality of the final product before deciding to purchase. Some of the issues people have had with Grapplers and Gimmicks have been addressed or are being addressed. So given that there is progress, it doesn’t bother me when companies have my money. Mattel is the one exception with that. I really wish they would put just a little more time and money into making their Retros better. I cannot tell what they are working with though. I’m committed to being a completionist and supporting Retros for as long as they keep making them but damn if it doesn’t feel like an abusive relationship sometimes!

No because we will get them and I have no problem pre paying if that’s the only way we will get certain figs that WWE / Mattel won’t get for us. I have no problems with G&G or Zombie. I’m very happy they are giving us figures we would never get elsewhere.

Doesn't bother me that much at this point since we know his turn arounds have been relativly quick compared to other companies. I think there's been a big gap on alot of these because of Chinese new year. That doesn't mean I don't want him to go away from the preoder model, I'd much rather see the final product before ordering, but at this point I know roughly what quality to expect, plus his figures don't seem to lose value aftermarket wise, so reselling is always easy if I change my mind. Not like Zombie who claims something is limited and then releases it again another 6 times, so most of his stuff has not held any resale value.

how much does ZST have of peoples money 🤯 None of mine atm, but I haven't ordered Cardona/Gage, Punk or Bruce Lee, not sure what else he has outstanding off the top of my head He seems to be going away from preorders for the most part from what I gather.
