Every team needs a “No Man” and I get the impression he’s not looking for one What gives you that impression? Because lack of engaging with people that are offering constructive criticism (not just me or people on this forum) If it ain’t positive then he don’t wanna know I get that he goes away and does make changes after he’s posting something and has negative feedback but surely he can’t be getting bad feedback before he posts it otherwise it would have been fixed before posting Company’s need then, Epic have us, FC have a team, Zombie has the Majors and KWK have the Fully Poseable guys and I feel that Mitch needs someone to bounce ideas off and filter personally. This is all speculation and just guesses and assumptions of mine

Whether they are actually good or not is a different question

Waylon Mercy and Koko B Ware are up for preorder. I am not sure what I think of the Mercy images but I ordered him anyway.

Mercy kinda looks like a Rush figure. Then again, it's just a prototype.

Decided to get Mercy but passed on Koko. I really like the way the figure looks but I am also trying to be a bit more selective whenever possible (this coming from the buy who ordered Big Bully Busick).

Trying to be selective as well these days, but I purchased Big Bully too lol. I think I’ll get koko though. Pairs well perfectly with the Owen Hasbro.

I want both but I’ll wait for pics of the actual production figures. A few dollars savings isn’t worth the chance IMO

no interest in Koko though, I never liked him as a talent so that's an easy pass IMO

Exact copy or not, he still has to pay for the mold to be made. Stealing the exact parts of old hasbros and Frankensteining them into “new” figures is not the most ethical thing. No one is arguing that. But I also don’t see who it is directly hurting and what is stopping anyone else from doing it (if they wanted to do so). As a collector, I really enjoy it. As a competing business, I would be irritated that I am doing things completely on the level but someone else in the same market is making more money by bending the rules. As I was discussing with another collector recently…it’s just not an ethical world - both pro wrestling and in general. Not that the comparisons are direct but Epic did make and sell figures of someone who allegedly bit a man’s nose off. Worse yet, the other man who abused, drugged and forced intercourse upon at least one woman, abused animals, and so on. At least in his case, people hurt by him are making money off of his name and hopefully living a better life as a result. Sorry - this wasn't clear to me. What rules are they bending?

At least in his case, people hurt by him are making money off of his name and hopefully living a better life as a result. Sorry - this wasn't clear to me. What rules are they bending? Taking the designs of another company and using it to make products. I only study law as a hobby; not for career purposes so I can’t say how this one would actually work out in court if it went before a judge. But I do know if Hasbro decided to send someone a C&D and they didn’t comply, things are going to get rough. Hasbro has deep pockets and name recognition. Even if someone were completely in the right, they could be bled dry from legal costs. Even in cases where you can recoup those fees, you are likely to be paying out of pocket until then…unless you get a gimmick lawyer who says “I don’t get paid unless you get paid!” Not saying any of this will happen but as a company grows, more people start to take notice. More money, more problems, ya dig? If those Hasbro-based designs aren’t altered enough, it could cause an issue depending upon how protective they are. But Grapplers and Gimmicks has been decent about “remixing” parts for lack of a better term. The next step in their evolution should be to either alter them even more or take the training wheels off and start doing everything from scratch which is essentially what every other company has been doing. It doesn’t bother me as a collector what he is doing; the products are coming out good to great. But I also don’t want to see the company run into problems because of this. In the early days, it hasn’t been such a big deal. Now there is a lot more on the line. I want to see Mitch cash out and go completely legit. For his sake and the sake of the collectors. Let’s not forget that Zombie was selling bootleg/unlicensed pins (maybe more?) before he started doing figures. Chella was prepared to screw over their customers, their business partners, and their factories before Luke and Kate bought the company and turned everything around, and in the process renamed it Epic. KWK bragged about screwing the estates of wrestlers out of future royalties. So on the surface, everyone has gone legit except for Grapplers and Gimmicks and I’m hoping that day is coming soon.

Silly display question for you: Will you display Koko with Owen and Anvil or just Koko and Owen? I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. LoL The Hasbro figures are New Foundation figures, not High Energy figures. You can tell because Owen doesn't have the suspenders or checkered pants. So, I'm displaying KOKO by himself. He wrestled many singles matches in this anyway. I do wish Mitch would have put the checkered pattern on the pants. I get that he wanted it to match, but he's trying to match New Foundation gear that Koko was not part of. A little birdie told me we are getting a red variant of Koko, hopefully that one has the checkered pants.
