I ordered the 95 Bulldog as to me, that’s close enough to the Hasbro era and it’s different enough to the one they did…I don’t think the parts have changed though, unfortunately. I’m hoping it’s passable when it arrives but he definitely over shot it and then tried to fob us off with ‘Hasbro did it all the time so I did it on purpose to fit in’ 🤣🤦🏻♂️ come on Mitch!

It's actually late 94', so very much would have fit into the Hasbro line, if they'd of still made 2 or 3 sets past the orange set, he'd of probably been there, either this or the Allied Powers trunks. Oh dang, just remembered the also had the other shorts design for Rumble, so he had at least 3 sets of gear during when he had his hair like that. Now I sorta want Rumble and Allied Powers versions. |

I've ordered the new Bulldog as well - I still can't believe Mattel didn't go for this look or the Allied Powers one in their latest set.
Totally agree that Hasbro would've made a new Bulldog quite quickly after the orange card set; either the long-tights or this shorts look depending on the timeline, so this look has been the priority Bulldog look for me since the Retros began. Looking forward to receiving this one!!

Anyone else notice a strong smell starting with the repaint King Nelson retro? Got my Bulldog and man do these smell. I received my bulldog but have yet to open it. Once I photograph it I’ll be sure to comment on any odors. It came at the same time as my Macho figures so I should be able to do a side by side comparison for smell. Your complaint isn’t the first I’ve heard. They are all using the same factory now (Hasttel, FC, and Epic) so I’m not sure offhand what would create an odor with one as opposed to the other (assuming all processes and materials are the same). |

The hair is off, cheeks are boxy, and torso and forearms are a bit too puffy. It has tons of potential; I just hope those parts can be improved upon.

The Tatanka face is a bit off, but he did scowl a lot when he went heel so perhaps that is the look they are going for. Also, I think he has nailed that big thick body that Tatanka had. A Heel Tatanka would surely (sorry for calling anyone Shirly) been in contention after the orange card set.

The Tatanka face is a bit off it's more Mike Awesome than Tatanka
and I agree with ChairShot - this needs improvement, but it would be the first retro styled Tatanka figure that has actual playability!! his Hasbro was awful, so this has a lot of potential and assuming he can make it look better than some of his recent releases, I'd be prepared to buy it! (only if it's in stock with R&R)

It absolutely looks like Bulldog at this stage. So I did a little digging and found what I believe to be the reference photo that Hasttel’s team used. The only copy I could locate was low resolution but I still did a comparison GIF so you can see how it does at least represent Tatanka in that photo. However, there are better reference photos out there and k truly believe they should be looking to his heel turn at the 1994 Summer Slam for inspiration.
