Really want to start on this set but they are so incredibly Expensive on ebay. I just cant fork over 100-150$ per figure. Looks like im out. Hopefully one day i can buy them loose for 50 bucks but even that is gonna hurt with how far behind i am. Good luck to you guys. Hopefully mattel makes some of these guys one day. Or they (zombie toys) increase production.

And I thought that was pretty much the rarest one since he actually never offered it for sale a 2nd, 3rd, etc time.

As mentioned in the WSW thread where I reviewed The Headbangers, I am back in the swing of reviewing figures. It was my goal to up my game a bit so I’ve included a new feature to give everyone a better look at the figures in close detail (I think everyone here will really enjoy it). WFigs isn’t able to embed Inatagram Reels so please click the link(s) to check out that new feature! 360 VIEW: One Man Gang http://instagram.com/p/C5JltFLRn2z The Good: http://instagram.com/p/C5JnNKvxFlP What a fantastic figure! One Man Gang is someone who fits in perfectly with that early Hasbro era but also stretches into the WCW side of things…though this isn’t the weird gimp mask version which I’m grateful for! The vest and facial features have a lot of detail which look good up close as well as from a distance. It’s one of the rare times where I prefer a soft goods accessory over having the jacket molded on. Gang’s regular gear is pretty boring on its own so the vest makes all the difference! The Bad: Elephant in the room: Gang didn’t come with his trademark sunglasses which were advertised originally. They make the figure look even better than it already does!
The smallest flaws I can find are the weird painted mouth. Having it look glossy and so dark/overly defined is a negative in my book. It’s not my preference though I would rather have too much detail than not enough. The only other thing I can think of is that my OMG vest had some loose strings on it that need to be trimmed.
So How Do They Measure Up?: I’ve decided to start putting the comparison photos with the back of the card posts as a little Easter egg. If you swipe through you’ll get to see how One Man Gang holds up next to each major Retro figure maker, classics, as well as side by side shots with all of the giants! http://instagram.com/p/C5JjMSdx4fV *Note that I am no longer including photos of figures from Rush* Final Verdict:
This might be an early contender for Figure of the Year for me. I’m not even some OMG mark but this figure looks really cool mixed in with everything else. It’s just such a nice size and a look that screams 80’s Pro Wrestling!

I thought Todd looked really good in package, but after seeing elrey82 's pictures, he looks sort of like a mini-statue instead of a Hasbro next to the Warrior and Macho. But maybe it looks/feels different in person

Look I'm not going to tell you I'm a big fan of Todd Pettingill. But Mr. Pettingzoo fills that much needed ring announcer slot for my retro fed. And to be fair, this is the first fully suited/tuxedoed? figure I have from Zombie and it's pretty damn good in-person - no Gilbert Godfrey worries. All the necessary arm/elbow articulation is there for a guy with a mic and the sculpt and paint are great. Looking forward to brother Slick.

How does the Pettingzoo look next to Mattel’s Mean Gene if you have him?

Thanks @Chair.Shot for the comparison pic. I don't collect Mattel Retros because their proportions are too big for my preference and Mean Gene shows it. If you don't mind that sort thing it could easily be fudged on the shelf for sure. Todd is very decent for what it is, he's not going to be doing any moonsualts.

I actually kind of want another Todd as it would make a good Vince McMahon from the early Raw era or Wrestlemania…but I still don’t feel right about that at this time given what has come out.

I’ve only been cherry picking ZST figures so Todd is only my 4th figure of his. I got Earl, Booger, Andre and now Todd and he’s in my top two of the bunch next to Bastion Booger. The Andre skin and lips felt off to me and Earl’s likeness got lost from pencil to final product. I think this is a really good likeness of Todd, I don’t see Gilbert Godfried & I don’t mind him being smaller than a typical Hasbro.

I overall like the Mean Gene better, but I do like Pettengil in those photos (although I really miss the *sheen* I wish ZST had on his figures). Shame the price point is so much higher

I thought there was going to be a Zombie Sailor reveal today at WrestleCon? Is that still happening sometime over the next few days. I have been curiously looking forward to seeing what he would come out with next after that Henry Godwinn prototype was leaked.

He has posted just stuff about WrestleCon getting his name wrong (Salor nor Sailor).
