Got my order in for the Cardona/Gage 2-pack. There was some initial sticker shock, but when I compared the price-per-figure with previous orders, it’s not even in the top three most expensive for me after factoring in shipping. This one will probably have the most detail of any of his figures thus far. Just hope the shirt doesn’t leave a permanent stain on Gage.

Yeah that sticker shock is real on this Cardona gage 2 pack. 98 bucks shipped. Having a real hard time pulling the trigger on this one

I was thinking it might go up for $75-80. I’m not gonna beat myself up over $5-10 for a set I was always planning to buy. It’s not this really memorable moment for me as a fan - I just like the figure sculpts and want to support the line.

I agree with that, zombie went all out on these retros and there's a lot to the set. On a personal level I wish it would have been a summer release and not when we are heading into the holidays but that's my issue.

49.19 - Cardona/Gage (each) 48.14 - Sterling x2 + Todd (each) 46.81 - Booger 47.87 - Bruce Lee 50.62 - Gargano 43.12 - Raven + S2 set of 5 (each) 51.02 - NYCC Sabu 50.54 - Danhausen 47.64 - Jarrett 42.73 - S1 set of 5 (each)
Here’s how the prices have stacked up for me since the line began. That’s with the cost of shipping factored in.

Long wait times and a personality that makes 1997 Shawn Michaels look like Mick Foley. I’m genuinely surprised he’s managed to make it a success. But he has so good for him.

I’m no Zombie defender but comparing them to a company like NECA is not fair at all.

The only fair comparison is to other Retro style figures on the market, and Zombie’s are clearly among the best. Who else is making the same characters in this scale and for a cheaper price? You’re not going to get the same factory-produced quality by commissioning customs either.

The quality is really great, near top notch, and they’re all quite limited as well. In the hasbro scale nonetheless.

As good as this looks, I’m not sure I need it as much as I thought I did given all the other names companies have been pumping out:

The difference between Zombie and NECA is that they make the BTTF figures I always wanted and Zombie offers a continuation of my most loved childhood toyline. If Neca would sell a „Retro“-related Hasbroesque toyline I’d definitely be excited - even more if Trevor was the sculptor. But they don’t. Even if they would do, I’d still buy other lines just to have a nice display. Epics Bulldogs will look fantastic next to ZST blue strap Andre and Dino Bravo. Finally the quality of the sculpts becomes equal enough to display the figures together.

Started going through my Gold Merlin wwf cards to see the others in that era....

Big Bully Busick is a big missing piece for me, like all the obscure characters from the early 90s.

Same for me. Need that Bully. Is he gonna be in some series, or as a Single release?

Geez, totally didn't realize he was in WWF until you guys pointed it out, thought this was another indy guy or something from an era/promotion I never watched. Very niche though still, guess he only ever appeared on some of the weekly TV for a couple months before dissapearing before Survivor Series in 91?

He weren’t in WWF long, I remember his heel v heel feud with Brooklyn Brawler though, and was originally advertised for Survivor Series 91, but was replaced.

He was mostly on WWF Superstars against jobbers, but he did have some TV matches against regulars like the British Bulldog. I remember he got squashed by Sid when they were really building him up. He was going to be on Col. Mustafa's Survivor Series team but was replaced.
