Sheesh. $102 for the tag team? That feels steep. I believe it is $90 (USD) for the two normal versions and $120 for the 1/100 version. Yeah, I don't know about this one lol. I don't know how deep/niche I need to get in this collection. Thinking about it, but it's kinda hard to justify, they did show up on a couple PPVs and stuff, but man I don't think realistically they would have ever been considered for figs back in the day. But, what is everyone finding as far as lowest price after shipping and any possible promo codes? If I were to order a set, I'd just go for one set of the common ones.

I normally buy all the variants because I love the KWK product, but I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on all 3 Los Conquistadors. As far as I know they only ever wore the variant A. Does anyone have information or proof of them wearing the other 2 variants (B and the 1/100)? From what I can gather I don't see any pictures or video with them wearing variant B. The 1/100 was commonly used by other wrestlers later in WWE such As Edge, Christian, Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway etc., but were they ever worn by Estrada and Rivera? To answer my own question, they wore variant A 95-99% of the time. They did wear variant B at least once or about 1%-5% of the time including the 1988 Survivor Series.

I'm willing to give the line a chance, so I just ordered Variant A. Shipping to Germany is just 14 Bucks - that's pretty much a bargain. As I like rather obscure characters (I ordered BBB as well), Los Conquistadores are right up my street. And it's always good to have a few enhancement guys on the roster.

Komet Kid is in stock on his site now. Said only 5 left of the blue one when I just checked.

Komet Kid is a fine figure but the “normal” Mantaur (Variant B?) is the figure I’m really regretting not getting. Anyone have any leads other than eBay?

The regular Mantaur without the shorts was suppose to be Variant A but the factory messed up when carding them. So yes, that is now actually Variant B. I grabbed a blue Komet Kid even though it was stupid expensive. But I always thought he looked super cool back then and this turned out better than I expected so what the heck. I was on right at noon and there were 25 in stock believe and they were moving quick. Thankfully I won’t be getting Yoshi Tatsu haha

http://instagram.com/p/C-27fGXpenG got my Max Moon today. HORRIBLE PVC smell when opening. card was only sealed by two stickers on the back and two random pieces of paper floating in the box warning that you should use a hairdryer to put the wrist gauntlets on. it does look and feel Hasbro like and the deco hits are good. probably will not be buying any more of KWK's offerings after this one took nearly a year to deliver

Thank you for posting pics though! I have only seen one other and it appeared oversized compared to Hasbros but your images made it look more reasonable. If it’s any comfort to you, they will be using a new factory in the future (I think after Max or maybe after Yoshi). Maybe wait until you see some reviews. In speaking with Shawn about it, he seemed much more confident with the the new team than the current one.

Got my Max Moon, I think it's an improvement over the Mantaur, but I really don't like these box style bubbles, I'd much rather have form fit Hasbro like bubbles, I get with the accessories on these 2 that is likely the issue with needing the big square ones.
Bubbles on both figs are also pretty scuffed up and I don't think they'd display great MOC. I also don't think I would bother with the accessories on Moon, I think the base figure has more than enough going for it and is super colorful and toyetic.

That *might* change in the future to some degree. The KWK Opulent line will be reserved for those figures with more accessories and such and the original line will be for the less exciting figures/figures with less gimmicks. So maybe the bubble will change to something less bulky? I’ll ask the next time we chat.

$70USD plus post was way to much for me.

Yeah, I mean I'm also of the opinion that if accessorie(s) can't be fit into a normal bubble like Hasbro did for over 90 figures, maybe it's not needed? Like I said with Max Moon, I don't think the accessories are too necesary anyway, I don't have a desire to cover up the figure and hide any of that great deco. And Mantaur, yeah he absolutely needs his bull's head. I guess they found the best way they could make it realistically, but I wonder if it could have been scaled down a bit? Seems really bulky. And TBH not sure how Hasbro would have handled him. He would have needed the head, would he have been packaged with it on? Or maybe off to the side like Macho King's crown/scepter?

My max is otw. Pumped. I too could do without the accessories as i wont be covering him up, but kwk is cranking these out timely compared to the likes of zombie. Glad he is just using the stickers on the back as the first few releases were gross with all the tape

These are the signings I am hoping for from KWK. G&G, Epic and ZST will cover the base. Berzerker however is very niche and very welcome.

Truely the wild west atm. Feels like the territory system again 😉 Consumers have proved there's enough marks for multiple karny's to operate in each region? Am I the only one who thought KWK would be cheaper than his competitors? Certainly not paying the freight international companies do :-(

g4 I wish that were the case. Given how niche some of these names are and how detailed some aspects are, I believe it justifies some of the cost.

Fair, but, $100 for Los Conquistadors has priced me out of that purchase. At that cost it HAS to be figures that I can’t live without. And Los Conquistadors ain’t that.
