Those would be my top wants redone. Hopefully they would utilize good parts for the figure. I don't think anyone wants a surfer Sting where it's a Triple H torso slapped on some skinny legs Mattel does... Design team when they actually  up a figure but truly think it’s perfect:  |

But were they in Mattel’s scales while Mattel has the WWE license? It could be like WB and DC various companies are making DC figures. Spin Masters has 3.75”, 5”, 9” (?) and 12” figures that are more kid friendly. Mezco has the one:12 highly detailed Collector’s line. McFarlane has 7” and 2.75” figures and Hot Toys has high end collectable figures. When Mattel had the Master line Neca tried to release the 7” DC vs Predator/Alien 2-Pack and were stopped and had to release them as Comic Con exclusives That could be, but is that the actual reason? Or just more speculation? Are Jazwares and Mattel in the same scale? If so, tell Jazwares to make the Sting figures .1 inch bigger... There, they're not the same scale, so they should be able to make Sting in any attire. Just seems odd that some guys can make/sell items in attires they wore in the WWF/WCW/AWA/ECW, etc., but others can't. Did Sting sell the rights to his likeness to the WWE when he signed years ago? Seems odd that Sting wouldn't fall in that same category with those who owned their own likeness/name. He didn't sign with the WWE until he was pretty much retired, working everywhere under the Sting name, and he worked with companies previously that did trademark names and likenesses for their wrestlers like Vince did. Speculation based off other franchises. (DC, Marvel, etc) I do think in Sting’s case as far as Jazwares goes they might not have the rights to certain 6” Sting looks because they are part of WWE’s Intellectual Properties. Because of their purchase of the WCW library so they “own” those. But because Sting owns his likeness they (Mattel) can’t make those looks either because he owned his likeness and would need to be under a contract for Mattel to release them. At least that’s what I think is happening. |

I don't feel like going through all of the posts, but a Greatest Hits Legends Series of the unreleased L7 Stinger and a Superstars surfer Sting would be pretty legit.

Ill buy any and all Sting figures they want to make but I want the Surfer looks more,especially the pink Beach Blast attire. Would love to see a 5 or 6 pack Mattel Creations exclusives of all different Surfer attires to kick things off if he ever returns.

When (if) they get Sting back, I’d like to see him made ASAP as Ultimate Edition. In my mind, he is the last A+++ level talent we don’t have in the line. Crow, Wolfpac and multiple Surfer Stings are needed.
If Mattel can get that done, get the Macho out (WM7) and actually get a decent head in a future Hitman, UE (including CC and exclusives) becomes the Greatest modern line created. And second overall behind Hasbro. Right now I have it, Hasbro, DM, CS, LJN and then UE. I using my logic it’s hard to not say elite lol.
Just sign Sting please! 🙏

I’m a huge WCW mark, and I passed on pretty much all the Stings because the parts they chose were atrocious. All the surfer Stings had the huge Batista torso with thin little chicken legs. Then the crow/wolfpac stings are built like a cruiserweight with girly arms. It feels deliberate that WWE bungles non-WWE guys on purpose.

What's interesting is that Surfer Sting merchandise has already been released under the AEW banner at least three times that I know of - 2 different styles of Micro Brawler and a t-shirt that actually had an image of him. That makes me think it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility for them to do it, but like you all said, I don't know if 6-7" figures are a different story. |
