Hopefully Sting does something like what Billy Gunn and Jake Roberts have where they can be under AEW and WWE Legends Contracts at the same time so that WWE can resume making Sting products.
AEW does not have a large enough presence in the market place and WWE could do a much better job getting him in video games, action figures, t-shirts, and other assorted products and memorabilia.
It’s all up to Sting, though. He may not want to do business with WWE again after the way it all went down. And we know he doesn’t NEED the money. He’s very protective of his likeness and legacy. He may rather AEW hold on to it and basically do nothing with it than to let WWE profit off of him.
Who knows? We’ll see in the next few years how it rolls out.

Mattel heads are fantastic for the most part, and I think with the face printing FX that wasn’t around when Sting was last in WWE would be a great improvement. The jazwares AEW scans for Sting have been incredible, so I’m sure Mattel would do as good of a job or better. Hopefully WWE and Mattel can get the rights back to Sting. |

if only they had pumped out Machos like Warriors 😔 So you guys want 1 Ultimate and 1 elite (sometimes 2) a year released? And you want ultimates and elites of previously released figures/attires? There's no guarantee he'll sign a legends deal with anyone. He may just ride off into the sunset.

I think Sting ends up sticking with AEW on an equivalent of a Legends/whatever deal. That said, if he were to come back to WWE, I would want that cancelled Legends figure out ASAP.
Sidenote: The idea that Mattel didn't "pump out" Stings while he was signed is one of the weirdest myths about the line that won't die. One could argue until the cows come home (and sometimes rightfully so) about part choices/attire choices or etc., but during the period he was signed he was one of the most heavily produced Legends.

Yeah they had to juggle 3 different eras between JCP/pre-Nitro WCW, Nitro era, and modern day. Sting got plenty of figs but maybe not enough in any particular look cuz of that. It was pretty much the same issue with Jeff Hardy. |

I don’t see them dropping the ball with Sting under their current structure. |

I was thinking just now ... he's retiring from the ring. He never said his contract is up. That is why I started this thread right as it was on last night.. I suspect he flat out signed a 3 year contract and it is up after his last match. So my hope is that he re-signs a Legends deal with WWE. |
