I'd say Vengeance 2005 was one of WWEs best PPVs ever and it's easily one of the best from the Ruthless Aggression era... I'll always love that event. I'd also say its RAWs best ever single branded PPV.
Do you guys agree or no? Underrated PPV? Overrated? Great? Good? Epic? Bad? Average? Classic? Amazing?
The WWE & World Titles were both defended for the first & only time on a single branded PPV, this stuff only happened on dual branded PPVs like the big 4 events.
Batista vs HHH HIAC was a classic, HBK vs Angle was a classic, Cena vs Jericho vs Christian was good, Carlito vs Benjamin was good, Kane vs Edge was also good

I agree it is an awesome event, I downsized my WWE DVD collection massively over the years, mainly just keeping documentaires and match collections, but this was one of the few PPV events from the 00s that I actually kept. I slightly prefer the Angle vs HBK match here over their one at WrestleMania and Batista vs Triple H is way better than the match they had at WrestleMania.

It was pretty solid.
I remember Edge vs. Kane, HBK vs. Angle, Cena vs. Jericho vs. Christian for the WWE Title and Batista vs. Triple H for the World Title in the Hell in a Cell were all featured on it.
It was probably the best Raw PPV of that year.

Vengeance for some reason has a lot of sleepers. 2005 is tremendous but so is 2002 and 2003. 2004 is pretty solid. 2006 is GREAT regardless of the DX Vs Spirit Squad main event.

I guess im the only one that kinda feels otherwise about it.
It was a decent event for sure but I don't think it'd hit my top 10.
Batista/Trips was good for sure but thats kinda where it hit a wall for me.
Shawn/Angle was good, but to me every match they had that followed Mania 21 had a fatigue factor. Similar to HBK/Taker, once you strike gold its nearly impossible to go back and match it.
I wasnt excited about the Cena match because it should have been just Christian getting his shot but they pushed him out so quick in lieu of Jericho and made him eat the pin that it felt rushed.
Kane/Edge was ok but those matches were always rather clunky.
Carlito/Benjamin was sloppy at points (I remember Benjamin was having a little bit of "Top Dolla" problems trying to tope over the rope around that time)
Victoria/Hemme was messy.
The Vis-agra/Lillian storyline was dumb.
Again it was ok-to-good but I wouldnt put it anywhere near the likes of Summerslam 2002, Survivor Series 2002, One Night Stand 2005, Mania 17, Mania 19, etc...

I wouldn't say its on the level of WM17, WM19, SummerSlam 02, Survivor Series 02 etc but it's still a great PPV for me. It's easily the best single brand PPV in RAW or SD history & I'd say its up there as one of the best non big 4 PPVs ever. It had a lil bit of filler, but you gotta have that stuff tbh to cool down the crowd. I'd say all the main matches delivered.

I'd say it's the best Raw branded event of that era, no doubt.
No Way Out 2006 is my top Smackdown branded event of the RA era and I'd put this up there with that. That's just my personal opinion of what ones I enjoyed the most.

Christian should have become WWE Champion at this event.

Great PPV.
Batista/HHH in Hell in a Cell was phenomenal.
