Here are my thoughts on the upcoming name change
1 - For the most part the casual fans that I know only know the company as TNA and a few even thought the company folded
2 - Didn't Impact recently run a TNA anniversary PPV? If so, if that PPV sold better than anything Impact branded it could be a factor in the change.
3 - If done right this could give the company some much needed momentum and could lead to them becoming the legit number three promotion in North America (right now I personally have them placed behind New Japan's North American expansion)
4 - I don't think that they need to bring too many people into the company to build the change around. The roster they currently have is easily one of the best the company has seen in several years. I do think they should make a push for the former Dolph Ziggler if AEW hasn't already locked him into a contract.
5 - When it comes to running venues I do agree that they should move from the 1000-2000 seat venues they have been using to 2000-5000 seat venues for TV tapings and 5000-10,000 for there PPVs to help them have a bigger feel.

Sounds like there are a number of people working for impact without a contract, with the transition back to TNA and becoming a touring company again, they want everyone under a contract. Sounds like Mickie James has declined and is leaving.
