Please forgive me for making this thread today as we have discussed many parts of Crush/Brian Adams career on here before, but I thought that it could be fun to have a thread talking about him. I know that there are some other Crush fans on here so I decide to run to you to hear your thoughts on this badass big man.
I know that Crush coming into Demolition was the end of the team, but man did I think he was cool and his bad ass look, cut like a knife and I thought for sure Demolition were going to run riot over the tag team scene! Of course that never happened and the way that they jobbed Demolition out at WrestleMania VII sucked! They already had a thing going with The Legion of Doom and there was a real, can't stop this thing we started going on here so why not just have Legion of Doom destroy them at WrestleMania VII and then call it a day instead of the random Japanese tag team?
When we started getting those promos for Crush coming I thought it was great. I loved when the WWF would do this back then and I was excited for him to make his debut. The weird thing about this was that I knew it was the same Crush from Demolition, but I do not remember them ever saying this on TV at the time. I mean it was pretty obvious so I get that the WWF were taking a "do I have to say the words? to us in regards to this being the same guy that we saw already, but as he was still going by Crush, you would have thought that they would have addressed it more.
Crush in 1992 was super over, he was a great upper mid card guy and I have said this a million times, but he had the best damn mullet in all of wrestling and that entrance music is badass! I have a WWF playlist on my phone and when I am at the gym when that guitar riff kicks in, it sure as hell pumps me up like I was back in the summer of 69 and makes me want to go extra hard with my next set. Anyway, Crush during his early run was awesome. I was at SummerSlam 92 and seeing Crush take on Repo Man was one of the matches that I was most excited about, not just to see Crush, but because I knew that Repo Man was Smash as I recognized his tattoo.
I am surprised that they did not do more with Crush. For all the love that the fans had for him, it was like the WWF never wanted to go all in with him. His storyline with Doink was fantastic, but this to me was the downfall of Crush. Doink made him look like a freaking idiot as he never got his revenge on him. I get that they were building Doink here, but they did it completely at the expense of Crush. Then straight after this to have him fail to win the IC title from Shawn Michales, it just completely slammed the breaks on him.
Evil Crusch was cool and had great potential, his stuff with Randy Savage was cool and I think had he been the one to win the match at WrestleMania X, it could have been what catapulted him as a big time heel for the company. I also think that him joining the corporation would have been better than aligning with Mr. Fuji, although, I guess they did have history.
Each time Crush would come back I would be excited about it. The ex con Crush was fun as was the DOA, although I feel like i saw some kind of DOA/Los Borecuas or whatever the hell they were called, match 10000 times in 1997! Even when he was in WCW as part of Kronik I thought he was great and it was not until he left the WWF for good during the Alliance storyline that I had a real "when you're gone" thing with Crush as I realized how big a part of my childhood he was!
Anyway, thanks for reading my ramblings, I would love to know what your thoughts on Crush/ Brian Adams are or how you feel his career could have gone better.... him not being a drug and gun runner being the obvious ones!

Hawaiian Crush was my favorite. He for sure could have been a IC title holder. World title I'm not sure, I think if he had been portrayed more as a "Diesel" type character than maybe he could have had a run?

No incarnation of Crush ever took for me. I’d say Kona Crush was probably the closest he ever came to really being over as a solo act. Kronik was okay.
Its always struck me that he’s one of the few acts who’s in ring abilities peaked very early and he never improved through the course of a long career. Every match that comes to mind is a dud with the exception of WM X and that had the benefit of a gimmick stipulation and an exceptional opponent.

Even as a kid I though Crush was crap in Demolition. Bought every Hasbro I could lay my hands on...but I didnt want Hasbro Crush. For the life of me I will never understand why their farewell at WM7 was not LOD beating them in a loser leaves WWF match.
Kona Crush was during a time I was kind of tuned out.
Evil Crush I dug. For me he was wasted potential...
Biker Crush was kinda WTF? then he jumped to WCW.
on WCW? I really enjoyed Kronik...I hope for figures of them someday. I was devastated when TB killed the WCW line and they were scheduled.

I was a fan of him with Demolition, Kona Crush, and Evil Crush, but after that, he didn't do anything I cared about. I thought Kronik had potential, but they came along in WCW at the worst possible time. And being destroyed by Kane and Taker on Raw (or Smackdown) when they came to the WWF after WCW ended, did them no favors. He had an impressive look, but was poor in the ring, and not good on the mic. Like theafricandream said, he started out well but never got any better. Looking back, he and Yoko could have been an impressive tag team, but he disappeared right after KOTR94 and didn't return until RR95, then was gone again.

I liked Crush from 1990 - 1995 when he was Demolition, Kona Crush and evil Crush.
Didn't care for NOD Crush or DOA Crush
NWO Adams, no thanks
Kronik was okay though, I liked them together

Thanks for the replies guys at some point we have to do a top mullets in wrestling list, I'm sure Crush would be on that list 😀
Also, I'm very disappointed no one caught all the awesome Brian Adams song titles in my post 🤣🤣

The first version of Crush I ever saw was his NOD gimmick and I thought it was one bad ass look. I also enjoyed his brief DOA run too.
I don't really remember much of him in the nWo but I loved Kronic.
I do feel that him and Clarke were screwed in 2001. Taker threw a hissy fit during their match at Summerslam and they got the blame. No offence to Taker but his work during that year wasn't up to much either.

He was so over as Kona Crush that he made the Head Vice which was really a lame finisher if you think about it, look cool. He just fell off a cliff after losing to Doink the Clown and his frequent gimmick changes (Evil Crush, NOD Crush, DOA Crush, NWO Bryan Adams) resembled a journeyman changing teams in sports.
