With all the other retro figures inspired by old lines coming out, Hasbro, Bend ems, LJN, BCA, Remcos etc.. Galoob WCW is a glaring omission in my opinion, what are peoples thoughts? would you like to see the galoobs brought back with a series inspired by the old WCW figures? same scale etc..
Theres quite a few that I think are available outside of a legends deal or employed by AEW that would fit in I think? Road Warriors, PN News, Black Blood?, Richard Morton, Robert Gibson, Johnny B. Badd, Van Hammer, Abdullah the Butcher, Kevin Sullivan, Larry Zbyszko, Medusa, Missy Hyatt, Marcus Bagwell, Jushin Thunder Liger, Great Muta, Masa Chono, Stan Hansen, Dan Spivey, Bobby Eaton, Mr Hughes, Yellow Dog, Nikita Koloff and many more.

Or are they just too niche? I fondly remember the galoobs, and would like to see a spiritual successor to them as has happened with many other old lines, but maybe I’m in the minority now?

I had a few Galoobs, but I was never really into WCW until Hogan came over. I used them in with my Hasbros, but never really liked the figures.
I'm more for the retro companies doing more WCW guys in Hasbro form. I think there's alot that could be tapped yet. Only have a smattering of WCW guys between the few out and what's been announced.

Yeah I’d think hasbro inspired versions would be more popular, some would make great galoob versions though, I liked how detailed they were. Hopefully one of the companies takes a chance with some of the more well known ones.

There were a couple of individuals who tried doing this but the venture cost too much and/or there wasn’t enough time and interest to keep it going. The IG accounts for them no longer exist but there are still pics and such out there: wrestlingfiguredatabase.com/collections/wrestling-arcade-officially-licensed-wrestling-action-figuresAs far as wanting to see it return? Sure! Off the top of my head: British Bulldog Nasty Boys Road Warriors Larry Zbyszko The Patriot Marc Mero Nikita Koloff Jim Duggan Kamala One Man Gang Kevin Sullivan Disco Inferno La Parka Alex Wright Jushin Liger Ultimo Dragon Renegade Col. Rob Parker Andre The Giant Macho Man Now if WWE were to do it, I would love to see Vader, Cactus Jack, Harlem Heat, Ricky Steamboat, Lord Steven Regal, Shockmaster, Sid, Paul Orndorff, Stunning Steve Austin, Teddy Long, Rick Rude, Jake Roberts, Alexander Bagwell, Harley Race, DDP, Hulk Hogan, NWO figures, Jimmy Hart, Brutus, The Shark, Rey Mysterio, and many others…I’m sure some WWF guys would be fun too (Undertaker, Bret, Shawn, etc).

Mattel has so many former WCW guys tied to deals, they could easily do an old WCW inspired collection, whether it’s galoob or elites etc.. I don’t think they would though, I’d think they aren’t mainstream enough anymore for them unfortunately.

This is exactly what I want. I love the Galoob line, and frankly, it's an insult that nobody is doing them! You have to imagine they'd be fairly cheap to produce compared to the Hasbro style figures.

Literally the stuff of dreams. Beautiful work. Funnily enough, seeing that Galoob style Vader next to Sting reminds me that when I first became aware of the OSFTM version of Vader on my primitive internet travels of yesteryear, I genuinely thought it was a Galoob, and it instantly became my most wanted figure. Of course, I later found out that it was closer to LJN than Galoob, and I eventually managed to track my own one down, and it's one of my favourite figures ever. A Galoob version of that figure is a dream come true for me.

The Rude custom looks near perfect to me. Don't feel that way about Vader though....

I love the OSFTM Vader, personally. If I could own a scaled down version, I'd be one happy motherfudger.
Has anyone who's purchased one of those custom Galoobs commented on their in-hand quality?

I bought some of his Hasbro customs. They are 3d printed, but very smooth. My only complaint is that he uses magnets for articulation and the magnets in the arms feel a bit weak and can’t hold a pose. But, that shouldn’t be an issue with Galoob style figures.

It's a pity he only deals through Instagram, as I'm not on there, lol.
