Well, he'd be another name for the Coliseum Collection. what anchor talent could they pair him up with though besides Hogan Big John Studd or If they can get the rights back, Bundy. |

Heel Andre could work, but he seems unlikely for the Coliseum Collection line since he received a regular line figure. Yeah, heel Andre isn't really needed again. Maybe they just double up on faces. Face Andre with a long hair and short hair head would be cool. Yeah, If they go babyface Andre as the main look, they could throw in a cloth singlet to make it somewhat different than the main line release. If they ever get Jesse Ventura signed, he could work too. One of his last matches was against the Hillbillies on SNME. |

You would think for the Colosseum Collection it would be Hogan all the way. While Hogan could go with virtually anyone in that line, Hillbilly Jim makes the most sense, and you know they're going to make the yellow trunks Hogan at some point.
I'm probably the minority here, but I wouldn't mind seeing him with Ted Arcidi.

Everyone is worried about which anchor to pair him with that makes sense…look at Piper and Steele, very random pairing. So I don’t think each 2 pack is gonna necessarily be a feud, match, or tag team.

Truth be told, I have zero desire for UE Hillbilly Jim. I’m not in the camp where I think everyone needs an UE. His legends is fine. If they wanna do an elite with molded overalls, I’ll grab that. But I have no desire to pay $80 for Jim and someone else.

Meh. Sign Billy Kidman please. Yeh nothing against Hillbilly Jim, but he's not a new name, and the golden era gets SO much coverage already... so this news doesn't excite me. Wish we could get more WCW/NWO era names, particularly FTIL and deep dive. Those are so few and far between. I dream of the day we get a totally unexpected signing like Mortis/Kanyon, Norman Smiley, Ernest Miller, Alex Wright, Disco Inferno, etc. And if they are doing Hillbilly Jim again, as well as the obvious new headscan and sculpted overalls, at least round out the stable by getting Uncle Elmer and the Godwinns done too. While it's still not my area of interest, it would make it seem more worthwhile. |
