LOD 2000 would likely need ultimate treatment when you factor in the helmets etc

Do you think mattel could do something with the LOD shoulder pads like they do with the belts?
Resculpt the pads but vacuum plate plastic pieces to put on them to give them a really shiny pair of gold pads for a summerslam 92 look?

AJPW with vests and gauntlets AWA/JCP with more primitive face paint and collars Ultimate Edition WWF in red with shin guards. Most importantly, I feel like they could really use a unique body type. The Lesnar torso doesn’t feel right on Animal, and Hawk has consistently been too small. There's distinct differences between AWA and JCP looks though. During their JCP run, entrance attire and makeup designs was upgraded from their AWA & Georgia days. Hawk would often have a full face symmetrical design and Animal started using the spiderweb facepaint themes. I would really hate for Mattel to just give us a look for one or the other under a blanket "classic pre-wwf road warriors" and call it a day from anything else from that time period. |

89 WCW. I have the ones with the black shoulder pads but both those body parts they used are wrong. They need to be more like the WWF red pad molds. Just need to add a better expression for Hawk with the tongue out.
85 AWA with the black spiked vests would be great as well. The issue would be they had so many cool face paint designs here. Which one do you choose.
LOD 2000 era was terrible. They would make for cool figs. I’d probably buy them.

Just give me classic red LOD Ultimates and Id be happy. Wouldn’t mind a blue chase though. Since they would have to milk the rights they should at least do Elites of LOD2000 and LOD early attires and another classic red attire.
LOD Summer Slam 92 (motorcycle entrance) was great aswell.

greatest hits or Legends greatest hits line rerelease of legends series 1
Ultimate edition line classic red with SummerSlam 92 gold chase
Monday night wars line blue wcw 96 return with wwf 97 return chase or vice versa
Legends elite line lod 2000 with raw 2003 return chase
If done this way every major look is definitely covered and knocked out very quickly

the top picture would be my preferred choice mainly because of the red padding. also never realized that they had some gold spikes on those pads. ya learn something new everyday! |
