I just wanna take a minute to say how grateful I am to be apart of the WF family especially the classic section here. Been here over 7 yrs and met a ton of good dudes who I consider my friends despite us living in all different parts of the world Tough year for me personally with my dad passing/health snag but coming here to talk about my passion old school wrestling helps in a big way. Cant begin to tell you guys how much as I enjoy logging into here and chatting it up about the good times of rasslin' And PJ remember whenever you step down as mod here, I know just the guy who would be glad to take the reins... Love ya humanoids! 👍

I am sorry to hear you lost your dad this past year, Brain! I lost my mom last year in 2022 and it was rough on me emotionally and physically, but coming here each day to talk old wrestling kept my mind occupied and made me remember fun times and fond memories when it came to older wrestling I enjoyed as a kid and teenager.
I am glad you are a part of this group of hardcore classic nuts who still lust for that era where wrestling came on Saturday and Sunday morning or at 6:05 pm on every Saturday and Sunday evening.
Love ya right back, Brain! You never once ragged on me for my love and fandom of Diesel and Shawn Michaels. For that, you are a great dude!

I lost my mom in 2020 so losing both parents in only a 3 year span was rough to say the least. But like I said classic wrestling helps me cope. Love going back and reminiscing about those times. Simpler time for sure.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear it was that soon for losing both parents. I am glad this forum can at least bring ya some happiness and friendships though. If I won't the lotto and had millions of dollars, I would contact all of us on here and get us all together for a big wrestling hang out. Unfortunately I know I will never win the lottery cause I wanna do something worthwhile with it. That's how it goes ha ha ha

Glad to hear this place gave you a bit of happiness in a tough time buddy,
Also, whenever I read one of your posts I always do so in the voice of Bobby Heenan in my mind:)
I have no one in my life any more who has any interest in wrestling so I love coming on here every now and again to have fun talking about random stuff from the old days. I work from home so it also serves as a great way to partake in some work avoidance lol.

yep this place has been a safe haven of sorts for me there is really no other place to discuss old school like we do here was part of a few other forums over the years but they are all slow or almost dead most of the time. a few FB pages help some, but this is my home for old school wrestling most of you may not know but im disabled with neck injuries from a broken neck as a child (back flip in a moonwalk gone wrong) and 7 yrs ago hit my head in a car accident and developed whats called chemical illness and im allergic to all frangranced products, and i mean ALL of them. (soaps, laundry, plug-ins, candles, febreeze, lysol, all of it) so i literally am home bound and hide from the world. i do everything online/order, or curbside as i cannot even go into stores anymore. ive done all holidays home alone with my cats the last 7 yrs. needless to say depression and suicidal thoughts are a major part of my life these days. on top of that in last 4 yrs ive lost my dad, 2 close uncles, my aunt, my grandpa, our family dog of 15 yrs, 3 other friends doggies that were my best friends too (animals are kinda my life now since i get near people) 2 best friends (one to cancer, one to suicide), my sis has cancer now, my mom is 75 and starting to have mega health issues. and most recently 2 months ago my VERY BEST Friend and soul Kitty, Mama, of 16 yrs was swooped off by hawk 10 ft from me and flew away with her while i screamed bloody murder. i found her chewed up body 3 days later in a neighbors yard 3 doors down. (if youve seen it, think of the movie Jeepers creepers 2 when the creeper took Billy off into the sky. This has traumatized me and ive been on hardcore meds and 4 times a week counseling. i have nightmares of that happening over and over. ive wnted to get on here and tell you guys about this as i dont have man people to talk to about it and its still killing me real bad. i LOVED that cat so much and she spent every moment with me the last 7 yrs while ive been sick. god i miss her so much. anyway sorry to rant, but i kinda needed to and this thread was perfect time for it. i love all you guys and aslo wish i had millions for all us to get together. but im poor has hell living on disability income. thamnk you all my brothers for this forum and all that old school talk we do. its saved me many times. we do need more talk of 1985-1996 wrestling tho lol Love you all my old school wrasslin brothas!

Thanks! And I am sorry you went through so much loss there too in such a short time period. I am glad that we can open up here and know that we can talk more than just about old wrestling and that we will have support from our peers and friends on here to be there to listen.
That's what makes this crew of people in the classic section the best!

Probably because we come from a generation where we knew how to be civil during discussions or debates in regards of topics at hand. I will always listen to watch someone says to me in regards to a topic that we don't agree on. I can respect their opinion and accept it even if we both don't agree on the topic at hand.
The younger generation now can't do that, or social media has influenced the whole "Me Me Me" era of life now for people.
We are old ha ha ha

Sorry for your losses. I lost my father in March of ‘90 it never really goes away. You think about them every day. Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of my father-in-laws passing. Which in a way was like losing a second father for me, because I was 23 years old when my dad past and I knew my Father-in-Law 30 years before he passed. And The Brain I have been thinking about it. Especially lately I have been sick for about a month now where it is drained my energy so quickly. And on Monday I finally went to a doctor because I couldn’t catch my breath. It turns out I have a viral infection. Anyway six medications later they told me if there wasn’t any improvement by yesterday I would need to be hospitalized. Thankfully we think the medications are working as I started showing improvement. But I have been thinking about stepping down or asking them to add you to help out. I was actually thinking this since before your absence due to your health scare, but then when you said you we hospitalized I felt like maybe waiting a while so you got back to 100%. But I have been thinking about it.

Whether it be classic wrestling,music,tvshows/movies etc. And my mom man she loved decorating for Christmas. I think back on those Christmas's back in the day and smile. I miss em so much. Just tough. So damn tough. But I'm doing the best I can And If I'm honored to have my name in green whether that be as full time mod or just helping you out then you can bet I'll be here for the job. Get well soon brother.Kick that infections ass

I'd just like to echo the sentiments that this is one of the friendliest forums I've ever been a part of. I've been here nearly 2 years but it feels like much longer. Looking forward to many more years here.

Easily my favorite section of WF since becoming a member. Hardly ever any bs and always cool dudes reminiscing about the good old days.
