That long stretch where Jazwares didn’t do anything is probably going to be felt well into next year. There are probably 5 waves worth of figures that have been confirmed/mocked up that if they stick to the plan of making those they’ll all be incredibly out of date. But at the same time, you can’t just scrap everything because there are some key figures among them. Another shuffle is probably the best solution, but I hope that Vault becomes a way to cut down the backlog. It would be great if Vault could provide us with characters like Abadon, Cutler, Reynolds etc. Ideally I’d prefer that they would drop a lot of the aspects of the line that drive us all crazy like the numbered rares & chases. Up to the release of The Bunny nearly all of these could have been Shop AEW exclusives and most people would be fine with that. Also just kill the LJN and Luminary figures in Unmatched. Luminaries should continue, but as its own sub series that we maybe get like 4 a year. One per quarter. I want to be excited by this line again, and while the later half of 2023 showed signs of improvement, there’s still a long way to go to get back on track.

Jarrett is another big one since he never got a Mattel in the brief time he was available.

Selfish answers for me are Brian Cage in his Sting tribute gear with face paint, Matt Sydal, Christopher Daniels and Edge in his face paint attire from the last PPV

This thread made me realize how many guys who have gotten AEW figs are completely irrelevant or no longer with the company. An interesting thread idea would be to "re-plan" the AEW figure line with some hindsight and foresight.
