Seeing Post Malone is in the 2K game. Do you think they asked for Mailman Karl Malone and WWE thought “mail, post, same thing” and signed Post Malone instead? Also, I know video game appearance doesn’t always mean figures but has Post done anything with WWE to get a figure, possibly a SDCC exclusive? I think this is the first time Post has done anything with WWE. It appears to be similar to the Fred Durst/Just Bring It deal where his music will be part of the soundtrack with the added perk of having his own playable character. Not sure if that opens the door to other merchandise, but if I had to bet it doesn't seem likely. |

I think all signs point to it being something to do with Rocky Balboa...Either Mattel has gotten Balboa & Creed in a two pack or they will mix it with Hogan being its the 40th anniversary of Hulkamania.
Was just looking at the WWE Champions game and literally the only "legends" on that game that dont have a figure made is Balboa & Creed. I know video games & figures dont always mix...but with Mania being in Philly this year as well and WWE wanting Stallone...I fully expect it to be Balboa and someone.

If Rocky is just an exclusive / one off, it’d be such a waste. Rocky could be a whole toy line. Give me a Rocky running up the steps diorama / playset. Give me characters from the Creed films.

Those Phoenix Toys Rocky figures were pretty great and the headsculpts had decent likenesses for the time.
I'd be down for an Origins-style revival of those. As far as playsets...boxing ring of course, training gym and maybe even a press conference set would all be cool.

If Stallone does participate in WM and gets involved with WWE, I wouldn't rule out a Rocky/Thunderlips two-pack. It would have cross-over appeal, and could be an exciting set.
I'd still prefer a fun, straight up wrestling release though
