this was a dream match for me. i still cant pick who would win. both 2 of my favs and both equally good imo. but i thought of just now because i was lookin at some old house show newspapers ads and saw one with mr perfect vs rick rude on it. i almost jumped out of my seat. i quickly checked youtube and then wresetlingdata.com for results but it was a mistake from the paper. it was supposed to be perfect & rude vs warrior & tornado. but holy crap i was excited for minute there thinking maybe it was a late replacement or something cause maybe warrior/tornado didnt show up as i knew they were havin tag matches about this time. so i was almost shaking going to youtube hoping to find it. but it wasnt real. BUMMER! so anyway, is this a match/fued you guys would have like to see and who takes it if it did?

I'm sure it would have delivered and would have Curt as the babyface.
Far as who I prefer of the 2 would go with Perfect.

Could have been an interesting feud/match in 1991. Rude had been with the Heenan family since 1987, but by late 1990, Perfect was the new golden boy of The Family. Let that jealousy build up in Rude that he sees Heenan putting Perfect in better spots. This could have been a great match at WM7 with Heenan in a neutral corner cheering for both (the guy who was winning at the moment - like the Harley Race/King Haku match at RR89).

You know with them being best friends the chemistry wouldve been off the charts

I rather see them tag up in the WWF during their time there.
Imagine if Perfect never won back the IC Title and Rude stayed with the WWF. That battle royal happens on Superstars to see who wrestles the Hart Foundation at Wrestlemania for the Tag Titles. All the teams are in the ring and out comes Bobby Heenan saying that he has a team.... and out walks Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude.
They eliminate the Rockers to take the spot against the Hart Foundation at Wrestlemania 7 and win the Tag Titles. That would have been.... Perfect!

View AttachmentSooooooooo, when you find that a match may have existed that you really wanted to see, you start shaking with excitement as you head to YouTube to finally watch it…………..is that right? OMG!!! ME TOO!!! I can’t remember how many times I’ve done that! Er, I also can’t remember now which matches I was trying to find or how many times I was successful……… I would have loved to have seen this match and I still can’t decide who I’d book to win clean! Neither Rude nor Perfect could be beaten cleanly except by the absolute top guys and they seem to me as being on the exact same level as each other. If I had to pick a winner it would have to be in a cage match and by whoever was the face. Although, having said that, while I can’t see Rude cleanly and decisively beating Mr Perfect with the Rude Awakening, I suppose I could see Perfect maybe snatching a win with a Perfect-plex out of nowhere to end a long and gruelling bout similar to the Loser Leaves WWE match between Perfect and Flair. When I was a kid playing with my Hasbros, I didn’t often bother keeping the heels and faces apart in matches and I just had anyone face anyone and in Perfect vs Rude matches, they usually ended in shenanigans (knuckle dusters, grabbing the tights, that sort of thing) or DQ’s. However, I did also have them teaming together as the Minnesota Mates and they were on a level similar to their singles careers: worthy contenders, rarely beaten and only being champs while the top teams were busy or to get heel heat in a feud and placehold the titles until the feud ender. (Yes, I get they were never world champs, but we all know they were credible names for a short Ivan Koloff/Iron Sheik type of reign).

Think as a few say they would have been a great tag team.
Two of the greatest heels in their day (I was never convinced with Perfect’s face run). As far as a match goes, I think the nod goes to Hennig. I’m guessing if they are feuding in 90/91 then the booking would have gone with Perfect.

I was hoping someone would get my subtle hint with having the Nasty Boys removed to have.... Heenan's Nasty Boys take their place.
Well done on that one!
