Some of us don’t have a Walmart. My only chance at getting these are literally preordering (we all know how that goes), or buying it on the secondary market. Where do you live not to have a Walmart? I bet there’s like 10 within 35 min from me lol. I’m from the greatest city on Mother Earth… NEW YARRRRRK CITY! I wish I had a Walmart

Well I mean yea…..we do it with the small hope that maybe we will get the figures…we know we probably won’t, but the hope that maybe someday….maybe the process gets fixed. I’ve at least complained to Walmart several times. They don’t care but I at least attempt to help, I’ve complained in the afa thread, I’ve attempted to email wwe corporate. I have never pre ordered anything from Walmart, I’ve also had no issue finding them in-store. Maybe it takes checking more than 1 Walmart to find things, I’ve found over the years every Walmart has different things. My brother in Christ, my city has 5 Walmarts. Only 1 of them got RA UE series 1, to this day I have never seen series 2 and I never saw any of the elite series besides 1 and 4 and I only saw them once each. Bullcrap I'm just not checking enough Walmarts, the crap just isn't distributed correctly.

Otherwise call it a regional Walmart exclusive. Because the only exclusive wrestling figures my Walmart ever got was 1 HBK, 1 batista from the RA series THATS IT. They did also get supreme punk too. Walmart is TERRIBLE at distributing their cases. Most stores on the West Coast get ENDCAPS full of RA series and ultimates. Most east coast stores are LUCKY to have 1 of each on shelf if that.

I had posted this in another Walmart thread this last summer, and I think it still applies here.
Most metro areas seem to not have an adequate supply of Walmarts compared to more rural areas.
I live in the northwestern portion of Wisconsin. I live in a town that has a population of just shy of 70K, with a couple smaller suburbs/townships adding another 24K, so roughly 94K population in the area. We are big enough for one Target and two Walmarts in the area - however the local wrestling figure collector base is not that big.
So based on these numbers, I have 2 Walmarts, or one for every 47K group of people.
I can drive 90 miles and get to the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area, and by my count, I see 16 Walmarts. But per a quick google search, the metro area of Minnapolis/St Paul has 3.69 million people living in it. So dividing that by the 16 Walmarts gives us 230,625 people per Walmart - which is just short of 5 times the amount.
This is by no means scientific, but these are my findings:
Rural Walmarts - 1 per 47K of people Metro Walmarts - 1 per 230K of people
This certainly is also a factor of people trying to find these exclusives. And that is not counting the fact that Walmart has horrible distribution issues - not all stores are certainly not getting all of their exclusives.
I am fortunate that it is rare for me to completely miss out on a Walmart exclusive in my local stores, simply due to the small size of the collector population. The ONLY one I can remember that did not come to town was the Walmart Retro series that had the Harley Race figure in it. Or the last basic figure series of that set (WCW set with Flair in business suit). Luckily another collector on here sent me a message that his town got in the basics that afternoon, and I drove 90 miles to get myself a set with an extra Flair or two. We did get the Decade of Domination two a couple years ago, but I missed the Kane & Mark Henry, but had a few other Walmarts near enough to make an afternoon of it to get them. But all of these are in smaller cities and larger rural towns.
I do feel fortunate, but if I lived in a larger metro area, or outside the US where shipping is just completely horrendous, I would have curtailed my figure collecting a long time ago. I don't even know where the issue fully lays either, but I would put the bulk of it on Walmart distribution. Target doesn't seem to have nearly the problems that Walmart does.

See you are proving the point..... because I'm pretty sure that regardless of the store volume - they send 1 case per store. Or in many instances - ZERO cases per store. For every "collector" posting pics of their stacked Walmarts with 3-4 cases of product..... we also see numerous pics (and our own experiences) of Walmarts that are completely bare and didn't get any. I'm fairly confident that Walmart orders enough Exclusives and Mainline Elites (when they bother to carry them) to supply 1 case per store..... and whoever is distributing them doesn't do it right. You would think a company like Walmart would have better metrics/data but nope. I have ID'd a "rural" Walmart about 30 minutes from where I live and have been heading to that one more frequently.... having (sometimes) better luck.

I seriously feel your pain … the nearest Target to me is almost an hour & a half away so there’s no “stopping in“ on the way home from work to see what they might have, instead it’s a trip that has to be planned in advance & that doesn’t happen often … with all the Target exclusives it sucks to have to order the ones I want most of the time or worse pay outrageous prices for them on eBay … Luckily I do have an independent toy store that’s about 30 minutes from me & usually has a pretty decent stock of the new Wwe figures, even some Target & RSC exclusives … however, they’re all still $40 - $50 each ( some are a little more ) doesn’t matter what it is … I’ve bought a few from him in the past, it’s still a little pricey but not near as bad as some places online

Using my example, should the Minneapolis stores get 5 cases each while my store only gets one? My point is that maybe the bigger stores are getting them but they disappear that much faster due to the larger customer size. Plus the bigger cities may also have more shops that would scalp the hot figures compared to a smaller town like mine. I don’t know, just providing a counter argument, The perfect solution is to have plenty available online. Target seems to have it figured out.

Well at the end of your response, you answered your own question "What should Walmart do" exactly how I was going to - do what Target is doing. An inventory SKU system that generally works..... in most cases replenishes SKU's as they are sold, until they are completely gone..... And if Walmart has 5000 stores, No, ordering 5000 cases of an exclusive product probably isn't enough - if some stores are serving 47K and others are serving 230K people. Yes, Walmart should have the technology to be able to quantify how many cases of product to send to stores based on sales volume. Just blindly sending "one case per store" is downright lazy. And then they don't even do THAT right. And yes, I'd be perfectly fine if we could just order the stuff online and have confidence that it will come in the mail. I'm still scratching my head as to how Pre-Orders "sell out" every single time - if we're pre-ordering these things in advance Walmart SHOULD be able to ask Mattel for more.

I just don't get how different companies get it right and also get it wrong in various stores. From day one, Walmart has done well with AEW's exclusives - if anything they have too much product for these. Their 2 per quarter exclusive figures, along with their exclusive Supremes, have never been an issue (except maybe CM Punk but I consider that a figure anomaly). Yet when AEW started with Target exclusives, the first ones were near impossible to find. Yet with Mattel we have no real problem with getting any exclusive from Target - either online or in store - while it is such a pain to get them from Wal-Mart. I just don't get it.
So now let's just hope that we see the Monday Night Wars figure in better abundance at our stores. Just a wait and see thing at this point. I am fully expecting them to be part of the Wrestlemania displays this year at Walmarts, so we should start hearing about them around the 2nd week of March. Just my guess.

One of my Walmarts it seems like they order to keep the shelves stocked rather if they sell or not (it literally had 20 UE Ortons the other day and has for weeks, plus they for some reason restocked at least 2-3 cases of E93). The other one seems to order less and doesn’t care if the shelves have sh¡t from years ago that no one wants.

As someone with a rural walmart, my store is currently swamped with almost nothing but AEW exclusives and Mattel top picks/top talent. I think the last time I was in there I saw one main line elite.
