Continuing on with the Rumble threads during Rumble season...
You can check out the full match on WWEs YouTube, its got about 100million views!! I'd say its one of the best for me honestly & tbh all the Rumbles of the 2000s were bangers.
It was in MSG & featured Cenas shocking return to win it... he was meant to out for 6 months to a year from injury but returned in 3 months. The pop was crazy.
The match also had HBK & Taker starting from number 1 & 2. HHH, Batista, Foley, Kane, Piper, Snuka, Punk, Cody, Carlito, Henry, etc.
The whole match was loaded with guys from nearly every popular era. Legends, top guys, new guys, young guys, HOF talent & future HOF talent.

There will never be another show in MSG that can top it. It's just not possible due to the way it was renovated. The look of those old MSG PPVs were vital in making them great.

I've always thought that the MSG stage set up was perfect for Rumbles, the entrance was short and the hard cam always facing it.
Another favourite of mine.
Taker & Shawn starting it off was brilliant and I loved how HHH & Foley had a brief encounter.
I'm a huge HHH fan but I hated how strongly he was booked in the match.
One thing I can't stand in Rumbles is when someone comes in and almost clears the ring.
Cena's return I did not expect, the pop was insane and I thought that HHH had turned heel due to the shock and rage in his expressions.

Cena's return was huge at the time, because everyone thought he was going to be out a year.
Piper and Snuka going at it in MSG in 2008 was incredible! So incredible that everyone in the ring stopped to watch.
Batista was the MVP that night, lasting the longest and having a great showing.
It was a fun Rumble match. The matches on the card though were okay. Jericho vs. JBL seemed like a wasted match for Jericho's big return to the company.

Orton vs Jeff was a solid enough match
Edge vs Rey wasn't bad.
Rumble had to see Cena a lot sooner than expected and he won so can't say I enjoyed the RR match that much.

I really enjoyed this Rumble, not just the Rumble match, but the whole show. This was right around when the anti Cena fans were super obnoxious about it. When his music hit, he gets a huge pop then you have all the sheep "smart fans" who suddenly remember that they were supposed to hate this guy then start booing.

One of my favorite Rumbles. Solid under card.
Rumble match was great. Starting with Taker and Shawn was poetic and Shawn trying to get a sneaky Elimination on Taker throughout the match was fun. The pop Piper got still gives me chills and I'm glad they stuck with the WCW theme. Cena got a massive pop and that was such a surprise. Not gonna lie I feel like after 20 years eith no Rumble winner ever being the #30 entrant and they did it back to back years. But I digress
