So Vince had a conundrum in 1992.
He wanted the fairytale ending & big dream match @ WM8. Flair would win the RR & title, Hogan would beat him @wm8 & likely go on to feud with Sid in version #4 of the Hogan's pal betrays him storyline.
BUT Hogan told Vince he was done after WM8. So after many frantic meetings with his creative folks & talent we get what we got which was less than..... BUT IMHO? there were better ways to make this happen and keep EVERYONE happy.
Remember ALL OF THIS is doable.
RR ends differently...Sid & Hogan are struggling in the ropes and Flair turfs them both out(ala HBK in 96 with Vader & Yoko). Cue wounded feelings galore on the floor from the 2 buddies.
SNME in Feb stays the same except you don't have a fully blown heel turn from Sid...just all the signs.
WM8:
First you have to reshuffle Sid & Savage on the card.
Savage beats the snot out of Jake & gets his revenge in a loser leaves town match. Mach would have been over like rover after hammering the cowardly heel.
Sid & Undertaker brawl to a countout victory for UT . Sid can begin to show heel tendancies in this match and UT can further develop that face turn...nothing changes for Mark. You keep Bearer out of it it and have them go toe to toe....make it that UT is clearly the better man in the crowds eyes.
Hogan vs Flair.
Back & forward match with Flair using every trick in the book to keep Hogan off his feet. Perfect interferes a couple of times and here's Sid coming out to be in his pals corner. Flair has worked over Hogan's leg good in this match but Hogan fires up his comeback...hits the boot but when he hits the ropes for the legdrop Sid enters & plasters him with his own big boot & Flair is DQd.
Flair, Sid & Perfect put the boots to Hogan but here's the Macho Man for the save.....but the odds are even too much for Randy until the Ultimate Warriors music hits & the 3 faces clear the ring and pose for the crowd who will have forgotten all about the title in all this excitement and Warriors return.
Summer is set up nicely with Macho or Warrior chasing Flair for the title, Sid being in the mix feuding with one of them too & Hogan quietly fading away
thoughts? changes? etc?

Hogan vs Flair WWF Title would have been a big time main event

I like it. Put Savage with Flair at Summer Slam, Warrior can get him after that. Warrior faces Sid at Summer Slam.

Hogan vs. Flair but put Flair over. Give Ric the WWF title until Summerslam and have him lose there to Savage or Bret, dealers choice.

Randy beats Flair in the last match. Hogan puts over Sid clean in the opening match.
Warrior doesn’t appear.

I like the idea, but it's also hurt by the fact that Sid quit the company in May

For around 15 years I’ve wanted to do a fantasy style diary starting in 1992 (the year I started watching wrestling). Have been putting ideas together for the past few years (and hopefully this is the year I do it). My wm card is as follows.
1. The Collection Agency v Killer Bees. 2. Papa Shango v Tito 3. Shawn v Marty 4. LOD v Power & Glory 5. Savage v Jake (cage match) 6. Ted Dibiase v Roddy Piper 7. Bret Hart v Rick Martel 8. Dark Justice v Natural Disasters 9. Flair v Hogan
So in terms of the reshuffle. Flair wins the rumble and belt. At the end of the rumble match, Sid and taker have an interaction (the unstoppable force meets the immovable object type thing). They end up eliminating each other. Sid as a babyface has been involved in a storyline where he keeps getting screwed over and is starting to show frustration. As the two are eliminated leaving Flair and Hogan, the undertaker climbs back in the ring. Sid goes to follow him in and grabs hold of the top rope as Hulk is running the ropes and Sid inadvertently eliminates Hogan, giving the win and title to flair. Hulk named as number one contender due to the circumstances he was eliminated under. Match set for wm8.
Back to Sid, he feels bad at eliminating his friend hulk but also frustrated that he didn’t get to win the big prize. Post rumble, Sid goes on a bad run, losing via countout to Iron Mike Sharpe and Brooklyn Brawler (who receives a beat down post match from Sid that shocks the WWF due to its brutality). Sid loses these encounters as he is distracted by Paul Bearer who appears at ringside during Sid’s matches. This leads to a match at SNME where Sid teams with LOD to face taker and the natural disasters (who are still pursuing LOD for the titles). In an interview at SNME prior to the match, a gleeful Jimmy hart is with the disasters and Hart nnounces that he has signed a new team to his stable, Power and Glory, and that he has secured a title shot a WM for P&G, much to the chagrin of the ND’s. During the six man match, P&G come down to ringside and steal LOD’s shoulder pads and are chased backstage by LOD. This leaves Sid on his own against the three behemoths. All three enter the ring and taker stands nose to nose with Sid staring each other down, with Earthquake and Typhoon flanking the two. Paul Bearer enters the ring and holds his urn high in the air, which prompts Sid and Taker to break from their stare down and give a beat down to the natural disasters, catching them unawares. Following on from this, the team of Dark Justice (Sid and taker) is formed and a match against the natural disasters is made for WM8.
Savage v Jake in a cage is announced for WM as well as a blow off to their feud.
At SNME there is.a contract signing between Flair and Hogan. Veering a2ay from the usual heel attacks the face, this match is built up through gutting promo’s on each other pushing the match as the deciding factor as to who is the greatest star in wrestling.
Elsewhere on the card, Piper and Dibiase have a match set stemming from Dibiase eliminating Piper from the rumble fairly and Piper illegally helping eliminate Dibiase from the match (piper didn’t have an IC match at RR and drew number 1 in place of the bulldog at the event, to dibiase’s number two drawing). This match is built up with a special edition of Piper’s Pit at SNME, where the rowdy one is blind sided by Ted during the interview.
IRS and Jacques Rougeau have formed a tag team - the Collection Agency - and face jobbers to the stars B. Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell. Owen Hart was injured in a house show match against Martel. This was turned in to an angle where Martel was boasting about putting Owen out of action. Big brother and IC champ Bret steps in to protect his family’s honour. Former Rovkers Shawn and Marty try to settle their issues on the grand3st stage of them all and Ariba McIntyre’s brother takes on newcomer Papa Shango.
Post mania, Ted Dibiase forms the Million Dollar Corporation, recruiting now former champion Ric Flair (with mrr Perfect) newly formed tag team the Collection Agency and head of security Haku. The faction pursues gold on all fronts with Ted beating Bret for the IC title with help from hired gun the Great Muta at Summerslam showdown prime time special (WCW withdrew from their relationship with NJPW and WWF looked to increase their market share in Japan by aligning with the Japanese promotion). Flair, who lost the belt at WM8 regains it at summerslam 92, held in Japan. The bill remains unpaid for Schyster and Rougeau as they fail to unseat LOD.
Dark justice go on to feud with Savage and the returning Ultimate Warrior. The Steiners come to the WWF along with stars of Japan Miracle Violence Connection and the team of Russian wrestlers Volk Han and Andey Kopolov, creating competition for the number one contenders spot for the LOD’s title.
Dibiase refuses to give Bret a rematch for the IC title, so he counters this by going after Flair and his world heavyweight title, with a little help from his family.
A lot of potentially unrealistic scenarios above but it’s my story and I’ll tell it the way I want to!

You put together a fantastic card there and I know people wish we got Hogan vs Flair at WrestleMania VII, but I am in the minority where I would not have changed a thing at WrestleMania VIII.
Savage vs Flair was a storyline that I loved and I was firmly on team Sid and wanted to see him kick the Immortal Slimes ass lol. Plus, Warrior coming back is one of my most vivid memories of wrestling from when I was a kid.
I do like the idea of Randy Savage getting his revenge on Jake at WrestleMania, but I could not ever see myself taking that over Flair vs Savage.
My one change that I would liked to have done at WrestleMania was to get LOD on the card actually wrestling!

Hogan vs. Flair for the WWF Title Savage vs. Roberts Sid vs. Undertaker Hart vs. Piper for the IC Title LOD vs. Money Inc. for the Tag Titles Tatanka vs. Rick Martel Natural Disasters vs. Nasty Boys Marty Jannetty vs. Shawn Michaels Slaughter, Duggan, Boss Man and British Bulldog vs. Beverly Brothers, Repo Man and The Mountie El Matador vs. Berzerker
That would be my perfect Wrestlemania 8 line up right there for matches!

Hogan leaving WWF once & for all was my only want/change for this show. The boos he received at the Rumble should have been his signal to get the F out after Mania for good & try strike a deal with WCW. But he hogs the main event slot & returns the next year. Tosser. I can take some solace in the fact the ending to his match was botched & Sid got to kick out of his finish.
If I had of been booker I would have squished him like a bug. And if that doesn't work for him brother? No worries, Austin took his ball home style hit piece the next week on television. That will teach him not to overstay his welcome & hog the spotlight.

I'm not sure Hulk was really 100% committed to actually leaving the company, that's why you got the (planned, but botched) screwy finish, leaving the door open to him feuding with Shango.
Hogan would never have agreed to put Flair across cleanly, so if you put those two together it's got to be Flair and Perfect giving Hogan a beating at the finish, to set up the big Warrior return and making the triumphant save. If you watch the SNME it's already obviously that Hogan wasn't going to open to an even contest with Flair as he essentially tosses him around like a ragdoll.

What point would Savage have here coming in to help Hogan?
Need some backstory here as Savage has been tied up with Jake for months and zero ties to Sid or Flair or recent relationship with Hogan.

I’m actually currently booking a WWF 1992 mod in TEW and ran with this as my wm8 card (tried to keep things fairly realistic through WM)
Ric Flair vs Macho Man WWF Title The Nasty Boys vs LOD vs Natural Disasters WWF Tag Team The Undertaker vs Jake the Snake Heenan’s Family (Eddie Gilbert, Hercules and Tully Blanchard vs Kerry Von Erich, Kevin Von Erich and Nikita Koloff Roddy Piper vs Ted Dibiase Hulk Hogan vs Sid Justice Ultimate Warrior vs Papa Shango The British Bulldog vs Big Bossman vs Jacques Rougeau vs Marty Jannetty #1 Contender IC title Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels IC Title
Obviously there are a couple of people who weren’t there in actual times, but that’s the fun of rebooking things. Show got a 90 rating, my highest to date.

It is customary for the other top babyfaces to help each other. Savage and Piper did save Hogan from Flair and Taker's attack on the Funeral Parlor in late 1991. This could also be the catalyst for the Savage/Flair feud after WM. Flair could come out after WM8 (on Superstars or Challenge) and call out Savage for getting involved in his (Flair's) business again.
