Continuing on the Rumble stuff during Rumble season...
Did you guys enjoy this? Good? Bad? Lame? Great? Decent? Underrated? Overrated?
I'd actually say it's very underrated tbh & of the best. I loved Taker winning it finally & he was the first guy to win it at number 30. Taker & HBK put on a classic at the end, a mini wrestling match lol. It was amazing to witness both legends going at it for the first time since 98/99/2000.
Taker also came out at number 30 in 97 & 03. This Rumble in 07 also had a good lineup with Edge,Orton,Flair, RVD,Kane, Booker, Khali, Benjamin,MVP,Carlito, ECW guys like Sabu,Sandman,Punk,Dreamer etc. Matt & Jeff were also in there.

I liked it until the Great Khali came in and then everyone just started to get tossed over the top rope with ease.
The addition of the ECW guys like Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu was pretty neat to see though!

2007 and 2009 were terrible years for the WWE, but the Royal Rumble matches for both years were well done.

Undertaker & Shawn in the final 2 was a nostalgic explosion. First time they collided since the Casket match at Royal Rumble 98 and to see them going at it again after all those years was mind blowing.
I literally jumped out of my seat and it was one of the best final 2's ever IMO.

I remember going back and watching Sandman's entrance, he absolutely drenches some arena female worker in beer and she is not happy about it lol.
Shawn/Taker was huge. At the time injuries were piling up, so many chances were being taken on lesser known/newer talent (Test, Umaga, Kennedy all getting world title shots). The Rumble itself was solid ECW additions were nice. Edge/Orton dominated most and yeah Khali stuff was awful. I think this was one where most people knew Taker was going to Mania against Batista but still thought Shawn was going to win in his hometown. Honestly remember being a little surprised he didn't.

Arguably the best final two in Rumble history. One of those PPVs where I was watching it here in live the UK and it was near 4AM and you are feeling sleeping, but then you are so into it and so excited it wakes you right up, that is what happened with the end of this match. I had no idea which way it was going to go.
