That Tenta episode was a tough watch at the end. Seemed like one of the good guys from the business.

Started the Earthquake episode but haven't finished.
I always liked Quake as a kid. Idk why but I liked him and I usually despised heels.
His family seems like salt of the earth. Tenta seems even better of a person than I thought he was. Pretty easy to like someone in wrestling when no one has a bad thing to say about em

That Tenta episode was a tough watch at the end. Seemed like one of the good guys from the business. A generation of fans probably thought Earthquake was the most intimidating wrestler and I used to think his Vertical Splash was as fatal as a gunshot, LOL. I never noticed this until watching the episode, but he started at the top pretty much feuding against Hulk Hogan and each gimmick or name change he had afterwards was worse than the one before. It shows John Tenta was a family guy who would do anything asked of him to put food on the table, but Haku also said he was a legit badass.

Haku is the measuring stick, if he says you’re badass then it’s gospel! That’s a good point I never thought of it like that. His Hogan feud was excellent but necpver seemed to hit those heights again. Even when they were tag champs, it was a weak division.

The Natural Disasters should have reigned supreme as heel champs until the Steiners knocked them off.

Was difficult to route for them against the Beverley Brothers (who should have been booked better anyway) with such a size advantage. Have them as the bully tag team, completely wasting the Bushwhackers, High Energy etc. until they get their comeuppance against the Steiners.

Just finished watching the Terry Gordy episode, definitely check it out, however all these guys, Corny, Foley, etc talking about how he wasn't there anymore after that Japan plane ride, but yet all these guys still booked him and just wanted him to become the "old" Terry Gordy again, they all sure didn't mind making the money off of him by putting him out there. They all just talked about that blank stare of his and his way of speaking and they had to know he couldn't do it anymore. Welcome to wrestling.

After watching the episode, I realized that Luke Gallows Festus gimmick might supposed to be post-OD Terry Gordy. He had the blank stare, the same ring attire, the crazy brawling style and suspiciously paired with Terry's son. 🤔

So sad to see the RF Video footage of Gordy. It almost looked like he was about to cry because he couldn't answer the questions.

I was just about to say, another piece of wrestling media that makes Rob Feinstein look like a piece of $h!t what a shock. Can’t believe he still works in the industry and with the top stars.

I got quite an image in my head when Miranda said "He reached out to Richard Simmons for help." Can you imagine Richard Simmons & Terry Gordy doing Sweating to the Oldies together?

I made it about halfway through the Brutus Beefcake episode before I had to turn it off.
