Kona Crush!
I loved him during this era. He was so over, but not getting revenge on Doink in 93 and failing to beat HBK really derailed his progress.
Plus, you cannot talk about Kona Crush without bringing up his awesome guitar riff intro and that epic mullet. Hell, that mullet alone is hall of fame worthy.

Man, Kona Crush had it all! He was super over with the fans, was a powerful wrestler like Vince liked, had a great look, could do the basic mechanics in the ring that needed to be done, and somehow.... didn't get a title!!
I am not sure what Vince was thinking there?? Evil Crush with Fuji and feuding with Savage was good for a brief 15 minutes. Then after that?? Nothing. Crush did nothing. Tagged with Yoko against the Headshrinkers for the Tag Titles at KOTR and then left the company soon after.
What a waste of an opportunity to have a huge baby face star in Kona Crush in 1993.

That makes sense then. Still, I feel his baby face run in 1993 was better just because the fans took a liking to him. But he was losing all the time then too in 1993, so maybe Crush just never was gonna amount to much in the WWF as a face or heel.
