I actually still liked Hogan during this era lol I was kind of indifferent on him? I kind of found him a bit boring maybe? But I didn't have huge negativity towards him either.

I liked Hogan more so in early 96 when he was doing jobs on Nitro. I remember Arn Anderson beat him clean in the ring (well as clean as could be, Hogan didn't kick out at 3 and a half)
Hogan, Savage and Booty Man had a unique alliance at the time to feud with the Horsemen and DOD.

I bought this thinking it was 1996 because WCW labeled the tapes wrong. But I really enjoy this PPV, I like that Savage wins it. I always laugh when people say Hogan turned heel with nWo, he’s being such an obnoxious prick here, like how is he NOT a heel here?? lol
I love this era of WCW before the nWo though.

I remember Nash absolutely burying all the storylines etc they had going before them and thinking it was a bit harsh. I was kind of bummed we never got the payoff to Luger being a heel behind Stings back. When He went down at the start of the ME of BATB 96 I was thinking....hey wait is he the 3rd man...recently ex WWF too and doing all this stuff behind Stings back!!

Lots of good stuff in WCW before the NWO!!! Tbh there were actually way too many great things about it. Sting or Luger or Savage as the 3rd man was making sense but Hogan really shocked me

Man, I remember watching this on PPV at the time. I marked out pretty hard when Macho won.
This thread also made me realize that of Macho's six world championship reigns (2 WWF and 4 WCW), three (1 WWF, 2 WCW) were ended by Flair, and three (1 WWF, 2 WCW) were ended by Hogan.
