I’m not a retro collector at all. I hated the Hasbro figs. Too small and hated the gimmick action features that locked them into one specific pose and limited articulation. That being said, it’d be hard to resist:

Some redos/ missing hasbros (along with parts choices):
Rick Rude - Luger mold, but ideally with new flexing arms; I know slot of people hate it but it best resembles Rude’s ripped but thin waisted physique.
123 Kid - new thinner body mold with Ambrose action that can be used to replicate a moonsault, but very unlikely; personally I’d prefer the blue attire, either 123 or Lightning kid.
Sgt Slaughter Iraqi - Roman legs, but would probably need new upper body/arms, could potentially use Owens body.
Jake Roberts heel - Lawler/Gunn body (as a nod to the Hasbro) but with laced boots.

Now that TKO is in charge and Vince out the door, I wonder if there will be any policy changes in how Mattel is allowed to go about working with talent. As in, I wonder if they could end up having similar freedom like Jakks or 2K had.

I don’t think Vince had much to do with merch in general but I could be wrong. I’ve learned a lot about Vince that I didn’t know before in the past week

I don’t think Vince had much to do with merch in general but I could be wrong. I’ve learned a lot about Vince that I didn’t know before in the past week I’m not saying that Vince was forbidding these things to happen but I’m thinking more along the lines of talent being more open to working with the company now that he is no longer there. |
