The RRs of the 2000s felt like they were being won by established guys.....Austin, HHH, Lesnar, Orton, Undertaker, Cena etc. Now you had Benoit, Rey and Batista in there too getting their "being made" moments but I still feel the event was more important in the 90s. Just my two cents....
Great points. I'd say when it comes to importance, the 90s & 2000s felt very important & at a WM level. I'd say the same for 2010s & 2020s as well.
The 90s had many stars who became HUGE after winning the Rumble...HBK & Austin really took off soon after.
The 2000s had guys who were already World Champions winning the thing, but it still felt great to see top stars finally win the Rumble such as Taker,HHH,Cena,Orton etc.
