I haven’t had a basic since Mattel introduced swappable heads on Elites. Do the basics have swappable heads, too? Or do I still need to use the boil-n-pop method?

Yes along with hands too. Starting with which series? Someone else can probably chime in and pinpoint, I couldn't tell you honestly as I haven't collected basics since the arm change, and only recently got the SCSA/Trips HBK/Bulldog battle packs and they all are swappable. |

Couldn't you always have popped the head off? not easily I think with the Del Fantasma set we started seeing easily removable heads without heating tricks |

I got the Roman/Logan Paul 2 pack and the Roman head pops right off easy.
