My first NWA memory is actually the show where Wndham turned on Luger and joined the Horsemen. It stuck with me my entire childhood and teenage years, to the point where when I was 25 years old, I found it on a tape trading website and got a copy of the match just to see it again after so many years.
And when I did backyard wrestling, I was in a heel group called Guilty By Association, I was the "Barry Windham" of the group, and did the top rope superplex and the lariat clothesline and everything that was Barry style.
And on top of that, my favourite WCW match in 1992 was Ricky Steamboat & Shane Douglas vs. Barry Windham & Brian Pillman from Starrcade 92 that year.
So to me, NWA/WCW Barry Windham could do no wrong for me! I even made burnt DVDs "The NWA Title Is My Legacy" and have all his matches from his heel turn on Dustin at the Clash right up to his loss to Flair at Beach Blast.
