WM13 Sid Vs Taker.
WM15 Austin vs Rock. Their WM17 match was way better and the result getting spoiled during the show didn't help things.
WM16. Rock, HHH, Mick, Show. Only good point was Vince turning heel.
WM18 Jericho vs HHH
WM25 Orton Vs HHH
WM27 Cena Vs Miz
WM29 Cena Vs Rock ll
WM31 Reigns Vs Lesnar
WM34 Reigns Vs Lesnar

Triple H vs. Orton - Mania 25 (Should have been some kind of No Holds Barred type match)
Cena vs. Miz - Mania 27 (Miz wasnt ready for the main event, Rock & Cena made him look like a complete afterthought)
Triple H vs. Jericho - Mania 18 (Should have been Angle vs. Triple H, would have made much more sense with Steph involved)
Roman vs. Taker - Mania 33 (No one wanted this match in 2017)
Roman vs. Lesnar - Mania 34 (Boring match with a worse ending)
Roman vs. Triple H - Mania 32 (Would have rather seen an Ambrose heel turn at SVS and build to a rematch at Mania)
Roman vs. Lesnar - Mania 38 (Another snoozer in the Roman/Brock saga)
Left Drew vs. Brock off the list due to circumstances but even if it was live it probably wouldnt have been so different.

I'd say HHH and Hogan have both had the most underwhelming matches in WM Main Event history and I say that as a HHH mark.

Relative to the era and the WWF's output, Hulk's matches weren't even genuinely stinkers. The cage match with Bundy while incredibly formulaic, was passable. The only real stinker Hogan was in was the Sid Match, the rest were just 80s/90s WWF heavyweight rasslin mediocrity.
HHH is arguably the most underwhelming main eventer in wrestling history in big match situations, but Roman is really catching up to him. At least Roman has last year's Cody match on his resume, that was damn good imo.
Cena and Rocky got by in 2012 with a great crowd, and had a passable match, if you're expectations were tempered. In 2013 at WM29 there was no hype to carry it. They needed a receptive crowd, and Rocky got hurt.

I know the Hogan vs Sid match was not great, but it gets a pass from me due to the awesome entrance, the way Hogan went at Sid and his entrance music was still playing was awesome. I am not even a big Hogan guy, but that is one of my favorite WrestleMania entrances, plus the return of Warrior and the posedown at the end make me give this match a pass.
Randy Orton vs Triple H flat out sucked, I am about as far from a Randy Orton fan as you can get, I feel that most of the time when he is in the main event match, he fails to deliver an exciting performance, but this was an off night for both guys. The build up to this was fun, I like Orton as a character when he is a heel and this match should have been a pure fight bloodbath type thing, not the snooze fest that we got.

Wrestlemania 2000 had FOUR McMahons in it and I still couldn't get into it. Not sure how they pulled that off, but they did.
I can't even rate which one is the worst because most of them I never got the whole way through, but for two people who have had as many Wrestlemania main events as Roman Reigns and Triple H, they've had a lot that have just sucked a$$.

Very surprised/happy to hear that Bam Bam Bigelow versus Lawrence Taylor from WrestleMania XI isn't on many lists.
For as awful as that show is and it is undoubtedly one of the worst WrestleManias of all-time, the main event was pretty solid for having an outsider involved. Bam Bam carried the match on his back, but LT held his own and the crowd was into it.
For me, the biggest dud main event in WrestleMania history has to go to Triple H/Randy Orton from WrestleMania 25. As someone who was in attendance in Houston that day, I can confirm how absolutely dead the crowd was. They had just witnessed a classic in Undertaker/HBK, but even if that wasn't the case it still would have flopped since the match was booked terribly, went way too long and had an equally stale finish with the wrong guy going over.

I’m just curious because watching Hogan/Slaughter live when I was a kid, it was a huge deal. It felt like if Hogan lost that the United States was losing the war and Saddam was going to rule us. Hogan wasn’t just trying to win the Title, he was defending the entire country (what it felt like). Watching it now out of context and just critiquing the wrestling, I’m sure it would suck, but in context at the time, the stakes never felt bigger. |

The young fans would have loved Hogan vs Slaughter but the older ones probably didn't enjoy it. Non Americans also wouldn't really care as much.
