Got mine yesterday!
Haven't put the ring together yet - maybe this weekend;
Pro: Bischoff looks MUCH better in-person than the pics that I've seen. It's one of my new favorites! I'm gonna try to do some photos tonight.
Con: I was surprised & disappointed that I had to completely open the Ring box to get to the figure; I wasn't necessarily planning to put the ring together yet, but now that I've shredded the box trying to get the Bischoff figure out I feel like I should put it together ASAP before the small pieces fall out/get lost etc. I wish the figure had just been packed with the ring (not inside it).
FYI, I have cats that (for some reason) enjoy chewing on any ring ropes they can get near.... so I wanted to wait to find a safe, secure spot to set this ring up that they can't get near it. Like I said, now that I've wrecked the box/packaging trying to get the figure loose, I feel semi-obligated to put this thing together (somewhere safe). Since it's a bigger item I need to move some things around.

Is Bisch packaged like a typical UE or is his packaging like Kane from the Raw ring?

That's what I was afraid of. Makes no sense, but thanks Brother! It does make sense when you look at it how Steve explained. It's either the little box, or no moc box at all. Steve said they typically do not package the figure itself inside a bundle.

Dusty didn’t come in HOF packaging with the WCW ring. Demon Finn didn’t have a NXT Takeover Cardback with the NXT ring. None of the basics bundled with the springy rings ever come on cards. Wouldn’t make sense for UE figs to come in a box with the ultimate rings.

Right, Steve was looking out for the moc collector for these to help get more sales from people who wouldn't have bought it for that purpose. So at the end of the day, if you wanted a ring you were taking the the figure out the package regardless for a non moc collector. I see this as squeezing more sales out of people. Which is fair for everyone involved really.

I am just speaking for myself, but it's the same reason that I tapped out of GI Joe Classifieds; as a MIBber, I personally like to see the figure displayed. I am sure that I am not the only one who withheld, but at the end of the day, it's all good. I certainly am not losing any sleep over figs, was just curious.

Don't get me wrong, I'd never pay $140 for one figure, but I do feel like I got my money's worth here. But I can tell you that without the Bischoff figure I doubt I would have bought the ring. The figure packaging doesn't really matter to me, as I wanted the Bischoff loose for display. As I'd stated earlier, I just kind of wish the figure had not been packed in with the ring pieces as I wasn't planning to open the ring right away (but I really wanted the figure). The way the ring-box is sort of glued shut made me shred the end of the box to get the figure out.

So to please everyone, I think this was the way to go.
