Despite all the problems, I do think MacFarlane would be a mistake for AEW, and hurt -- not help -- interest in the line I hear you, but think of the amount repaints we would get. Someone wears new gear on TV today, it will be released as an exclusive next week.

If UFC is partners with McFarlane, I doubt they would be able to do AEW given the TKO partnership with WWE. Not that WWE would likely leave Mattel but isn’t it true WWE made Funko be exclusive to them for wrestling after the Elite got Pops?
TKO has a vested interest in WWE as of last summer and now AEW isn’t running T-Mobile in Vegas, where TKO has ownership.
Maybe McFarlane would still have a shot but I’d think TKO may put something in a licensing agreement where their partner can’t do anything for any combat sports outside their company.

Marvel Legends and GI Joe have some of the best distribution in the game. And along with Star Wars are the most overpriced lines out there. $27 and change after tax per has made me start being very selective on which ML, Joes and SW figures I buy now. Which is probably why you can find them more readily. lol
It's a great point - and an interesting business question. Would Mattel sell yes if the figures were $27 -- I think so. I do think they get more volume by keeping it lower -- and does that make up for the mark-up they are losing on price. It's a very interesting question.
